[1.2.1.2] - Dude Evil Enough to Save Cairn (Vitality Conjurer - no MI) SR85, AoM 1:52, Calla 1:56, Minds 2:22

Hey there!

This time I crossed out another task from my bucket list. I wanted to give justice to my very first GD char (yes, his name is Dantioch) and create my own build for him. Initally he was a vit conjurer so I decided to stick to that. I can tell you that the design process was very exciting with ups and highs, but in the end I was very satisfied with the results. After I killed Mog I decided to share this with you and started to look for similar builds… well… it turned out that there is a very famous build made by non other than @mad_lee and his build is very similar to what I came up with.
image 24.6k??? wtf?
His build was created in 2019 so after 5 years lets say I have blown off the dust and created my take on the general idea. (staying alive from Sigil and Wendigo while the damage output comes from multiple different sources). No-MI, no-Dope OFC.

Let’s see the results:

I will start here with Mog, because this was recorded with Peerless Eye of Beronath. After the kill I looked around and found mad_lee’s build and saw pestilence of dreeg. I had no idea that this amulet can have these prefixes, and it is hands down better than Peerless, so quickly crafted one. All the other videos were recorded with pestilence. This kill would have been quicker with the additional -10% Vit RR.

Ravager of f*cking Minds 2:22
I don’t see why this nullify totem thing is entertaining…

Hey, wanted to comment here when you posted it but forgot.

Thanks for the shout out and congrats for the post.
Personally, I never went back to this build because it kinda lost its appeal as an immortal tank and it never had any good damage to begin with.

Now, I am not sure about having DEE as your source of damage here, but if you do it would make sense to use a weapon that boosts DEE (like Pandemic dagger) and also boost your casting speed as much as possible (so at least restless remains in gloves and maybe a different ring instead of Cursebearer). Otherwise you wasted so many skill points on a very weak unsupported spam skill with no casting speed.

Another thing is this weird obsession with “no MI” specs. Like most of the MI’s will be easier to farm than some of the legendaries this build has. This approach just gimps your build for no good reason. I would recommend getting some pants with a fat HP roll, because your current hp is too low imo.

Last but not the least: Eldritch Pact is almost always a better choice when it comes to Occultist’s relics.

I modified someone’s old Dark One’s Cabalist to include DEE because I thought it was worth it for this class + set:

Not finished specs by any means, I just tweaked it quickly for DEE and tried to not change items they already had.
As mentioned above, I tried to get casting speed and support DEE - medal, off-hand, amulet are all target farmable.

Not sure what’s optimal for Dark One’s Conjurer though

Thanks for the feedback!

About DEE: I like this build because it is designed around multiple (not WPS) damage sources, not just one or two very powerful skills. Actually this build works without a single point spent on DEE. Sigil/Wendigo/Pox together hits like a f*ckin truck even for single target. This is the exact reason why I have’nt tried to push DEE even further. Let’s say DEE was the most obvious damage source for single target with Blood Orb. I don’t think about DEE as “my source of damage” it is just one piece of the cake.

About Fang and Cursebearer choices: These two together (besides +1occultist, huge vit&chaos damage boost etc.) gives this build additional -27% Vit RR. I don’t use mods so I dont really know how the numbers are but based on my training dummy sessions (I usually test with ravager but minds sucks ass for this purpose) I think these boosts the damage of the sigil/wendigo/pox trinity way more compared to what I would get in return with Pandemic or anyhting else which supports DEE or cast speed. I experimented around this with Pandemic&Hallanx’s but Fang&BloodOrb was clearly the winner in my book. As celestials tend to have tons of vit resist these are also huge against them.

No MI: Yeah, true. Mabye I will do a build with MI-s in the future.

About Relic: I went with Solael’s as it gave me around 210-220 more OA comapred to Eldritch pact. Fang’s and Voidheart’s RR procs on crits so i wanted to crit as reliable as I can.
I realized that I linked the build uploaded from my save. Obviously we want here Wasting/Vulnerability completion bonus not the shitty second rite/storm spirit which mine has.

I would agree except the part when you say

Which is maybe true relative to your experience but judging from the timers on the videos it has pretty low to mid damage output (especially for a synergetic class/gear combination).

Also if you say that one point DEE has the same amount of impact and all the casting speed doesn’t help it then maybe it’s worth considering not investing into the skill altogether and finding another skill to invest into (obvious one would be Storm Totem).

Totally understandable but it’s worth finding that OA elsewhere and taking Eldritch Pact as it has one of the hardest hitting procs in the game.

We complained at Occultist relics having (useless) pet bonuses for years but to no avail.
