as long as there is lan support and i don’t have to use either galaxy or steam for local multiplayer i’m content…
From what I’ve been hearing it’s always had LAN so I don’t see them taking that out.
The bonus being of course even without galaxy matchmaking if the builds remain congruent and it allows LAN by direct I.P. input the basic function of multiplayer will be painless.
It should be a simple matter of making (if you don’t already have them) contacts interested in LAN’ing, declaring a host, turning on LAN over Internet software (see hamachi), backup of declaring the IP and Port (sometimes computers simply refuse to see one another*, maybe arranging some team speak and you should be good to go.
*I experience it a lot over a friends house, simple single cabled router setup, three computers and it’s like Russian roulette as to who has the unlucky problem connection; direct IP:port is the usual means of bypassing the issue…
and when my digital content of loyalist edition? It takes long?

Well you can buy through the web site, but it uses a third party vendor in order to process the sales and hand out the key.
That saves the devs having to setup and maintaining their own store which makes sense given their company size.
The upside is that the devs get more revenue this way.

I’ve read this thread and as far as i understand right now Grim Dawn works only through Steam, which is i do not support with his policy.
And developers write that they were not supposed to release the game DRM-free.

They will release a drm free with GoG
You will get two keys, one for Steam and one for the DRM-free version. The DRM-Free version will be distributed by GOG.
I could be wrong, but I’d think you would need a GOG account to download the software.
I’m happy and I write plenty on the forums. You’re just determined to prove that your class is 1% empty instead of 99% full. It’s cool, I’ve fired plenty of people in the past who have that same attitude.

I will, of course, also need to take your computer, and all other computers in your possession, to ensure that you’re not pirating the game. The height of irony, of course, is that a pirater who wanted to illicitly sell or provide low-cost or free copies of the game to other pirates would behave exactly the way that you have, so I’m sure that you understand my caution.

Detailed explanations have been given as to how updates and such will be made available to those opting for the DRM-free option. Or nanobots… Not to mention the potential that there is a lower energy state somewhere that the universe could spontaneously assume (propagating at light speed from the source point of course), thereby erasing everything (including Grim Dawn) that exists in the current universe.
That wasn’t very nice. And, based upon my 5+ years on this site, I’ve never once noticed a Crate employee (for years was just Medierra anyway) posting under some sort of alias account. Just because somebody doesn’t agree doesn’t mean that it’s not a real person, it just means that it is possible for a real person to disagree with what you’ve said.
Well, in his defense, many of us take Grim Dawn a lot more seriously than a Canadian-inspired group of hoodlums throwing up a bunch of tents in downtown Manhattan. Besides which, they could have at least had the courtesy to their fellow occupiers to do it during the summer or perhaps early fall…November in NYC is quite cold you know.

I just posted this random and strange PM here to state that I believe that it would take more than a dozen blinks to liquidate me. Well, unless you meant “liquidate” as in “murder” instead of “buy up all of your assets then give them away to a competitor of mine”. Besides which, I’d just go work for the competitor and make a nice salary from him if that really happened.

I think you’d enjoy reading through the wiki link on the practice of astroturfing (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astroturfing).
It can be a legitimate concern (estimated 1/3 pf posts generally) for both the community using the forum for information and discussion, as well as for the business that simply may not be able to tell if it is occurring.
I’m not saying he’s not in tinfoil hat territory, it’s something difficult to prove.
Hell with my no account picture and significant role in discussion with infrequent postings the accusation could of just of easily been applied to me.
My point is this, as soon as you start attacking credibility, you drift away from reasoned debate and in doing so discredit yourself equally.
Someone who is astroturfing (usually with the intent of swaying opinions or creating controversy) cannot get around a legitimate concern or reasonable logic without constructively adding to the discussion for the better.
It is not my intent to continue the flame war, if you feel admonished please feel free to seek support from your friends & family; as my only intent was to dissolve the negativity between posters and educate on constructive methods to resolve opinion.

Virtual Rewards - The items themselves are actually finished but we need to set up a way to distribute them both on and off Steam. We know how it’s going to work on Steam and just need to configure it. How we will get the actual codes to people is a little more complicated. That will have to happen through Humble Store. They actually have a nice system to set up distribution for backer rewards… except we were one of their original customers and first Kickstarters, so our stuff was not originally set up using that system. It’s set up in a more convoluted manner and we’re just going to have to work with them to make sure everything goes out to the right backer tiers. It’s not a real issue, it’s just something that I don’t have time to set up yet. I’ll be handling all this logistical stuff after release. I’m thinking we’ll be able to get this set up within two weeks though, maybe less depending on how things go.
