[18.104.22.168] THE RED KNIGHT – A BLEEDING / VITALITY CASTER
I tried to make this concept (Wildheart + Valguur) work more than a year ago but, at that time, I lacked the knowledge and experience to make a viable build. I didn’t realize that going Savagery/Melee was not the way to go and that Conjurer would be better than Ritualist. After many tries, sweat and tears, I present to you The Red Knight.
This a Caster with good AoE, DoT and great life gain.

This a variation with Storm Totem.

DETAILS ON THE BUILD
- Double Set : Wildheart Vanguard + Valguur’s Hunger.
- No MI (except for the medal but that’s a common drop and no specific roll is needed).
The classical path for Vitality characters : Hungering Void + Will of Rattosh.
I tried some more bleeding oriented paths but without much success.
Only for the phys. res. and OA/DA proc., if enemies can reach you of course.
RMB Devouring Swarm
Our spamming ability with huge RR and life gain.
K1 Grasping Vines
Our main AoE. High life gain and triggers Hungering Void.
K2 Sigil of Consumption
Good damage and, again, life gain.
K3 Curse of Frailty
Another source of RR and DoT (linked to Will of Rattosh).
K4 Blood of Dreeg
We all know how good BoD is.
K5 Wendigo Totem
Boosts your Vitality and Bleeding damage and provides life gain.
K6 Bloodthirster (Component)
Another life gain. Frankly, you don’t need it except when you’re in a bad spot.
NB : Chaos Surge from Eldritch Patch (relic) is also a good source of damage.
PROS AND CONS
- 17K HP ;
- Great Life gain/sustain (have I said it already ?)
- Great RR ;
- You even don’t notice Hungering Void HP loss ;
- No MI ;
- No burst;
- Lacks OA to my taste ;
- If you spam Devouring Swarm, you’ll need elixirs of spirit (Storm Totem var.).
Easy fight (around 1 min 20 sec.). You can take hits, though it’s not a full lazy facetanking fight. The usual kiting strategy : hit and run in circles, stay a little if needed, with high life sustain.
ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT
- Pants, Boots and Medal are not BIS (?).
This build hasn’t been updated since august 2018. For an updated and better version, go have a look on Valinov’s guide (same concept).
