Initial changelog
The v1.3.0 playtest is expected to begin posthaste. This is a massive backend update that introduces significant changes to UI and prepares the game for the upcoming Fangs of Asterkarn release.
As such, if you are planning to participate, we Strongly recommend that you BACK UP your C:\Users\your-username\Documents\my games\Grim Dawn\save directory. In addition, as this update overhauls the stash, we recommend NOT using any stash utilities, at least until such a time as their creators have a chance to review the changes and work with us on updating them to run with v1.3.0.
Below is the initial changelog for v1.3.0. More changes are planned and nothing is set in stone. Keep in mind that some balance changes (or lack thereof) are made with knowledge of upcoming itemization in FoA. So if it looks like we skipped your favorite/hated set or item, there might be a good reason for that that you are not privy to. As for some recently released list of top 30 or 20 or whatever, uh, sorry not sorry!

Major New Features
The Stash has been overhauled with new dedicated Component and Crafting Materials shared pages. In addition, stash pages can now be customized and labeled.
New functionality has been added to the player inventory to instantly deposit all Components and Crafting Materials in their shared tabs from anywhere in the world. To support this, objects that ask for crafting materials (ex. Treasure Troves), can now also access the stash instead of just the inventory.

Thank you everyone that has reported issues so far. The team is diligently working their way through your reports and feedback and making improvements. With that said, we are planning to do a new build for this weekend that should hopefully address most, if not all, of what has been reported.
Changelog has been updated to latest, though my understanding is that some of these balance changes have already slipped through in the last build.
Major New Features
Shattered Realm
Clearing Shards by hunting down Nemesis spawns has become a too dominant strategy, reducing the viability of AoE builds in favor of single target burst, which is already favored in the boss arenas. To address this, Shard Progress from gathering a Nemesis soul has been reduced by 38%34%. Progress gained from Hero souls has been increased by 33%, and by 50% from Champion souls.
The Shattered Realm timer has been rebalanced to be more challenging and now becomes shorter at higher shards. Timer penalty from deaths is now lower, but bonus from kill streaks is now also lower and kill streaks now require a minimum of 25 kills, up from 15.

Aether Crystal enemies now have an additional chance to drop a second Aether Crystal/Shard/Cluster.
Reduced Monster Armor by 8% on Champion+ enemies.

Celestial Powers that apply buffs and debuffs now have unique icons rather than generic icons associated with their affinity.
