1 This thread intends to share some of the fine builds from our little group, baidu darktemplar postbar.
2 All gladiator 170 adapted
3 Will update more builds to the latest game version
4 few refused to joint us in this sharing act, with fear of getting nerfed
5 Maybe there’s only one Chinese community to the rest of the world. but to us ,there’s a few. and we are one of the most maniac and passionate groups.
“What’s learned shall share”
I gathered quite a few builds that can clear gladiator 150-170 with near 100% success myself in my compilation thread.
So I’m really curious how do these perform? Do they have 90%+ succes rate? How much time does it take to clear with 2 standard blessings (+damage, +health)?
Yes I’ve read your post with great pleasure and as a matter of fact, I have forwarded a few to my GD friends, to share with them how you guys do a build. Really beautiful work, except for one of the soccerers relying too much on MI gear.
To answer your question:
the first 2 builds are totally 100% capable of clearing 170. and next 2 will have some demand on one’s control skills. But once exprienced, high chance to do 170 as well. Especially for the caster which is my build whose surviavability is determined by skill rotation and use. If you can watch the video attached, you can tell low DA is not a huge impact at all
Your druid’s RR will never affect any boss
Any devotion bound to OFF will only proc when OFF takes effect on the enemy. For OFF to take effect the enemy needs to be frozen. Bosses are immune to freeze and therefore Arcane Bomb will never proc on them, of course in the crucible you have minions around bosses and thanks to Arcane Mark’s radius you can proc it to some degree of effectiveness but I’d still say you should consider something else to bind it to
On one build you took Blind Sage, is it for the devotion proc or for the nodes. I know Blind Sage’s nodes are good but the proc was underwhelming pre-expac so not sure how good it is now.
That’s why I always love the stalwart magic prefix (well traditional builds often prefer legends or double rare affix, ppl underestimate it when i think its a waste ), easy to find a good one. But honestly I think 4k5 DA is a bit overweight :p.
Some questions now that I’ve examined some of the builds:
On bleed warder, well I see that it’s a bleed/trauma/phys hybrid. What are the merits of going hybrid instead of full bleed? Especially since there’s not much bleed resistant skeletons in 150-170 compared to 100-150.
Why max static strike (the lightning skill in firestrike tree. Forgot if that’s the right name) instead of firestrike itself?
Because SS has more flat damage than FS which each bullet may carry.I have a large number of bullets but poor equal Percent damage.
And each bullet may knock down normalsize unBOSS monsters even the Heros.
I see. Thanks. So the reason you habe double jaxxon rings is so that you’ll get those projectiles which will provide decent damage even with low %modifier. Very creative, I should say.
It’s good for you guys to share your builds here. Different communities build differently. I think the key difference is that we here focus more on hp, defensive skills and devotions while you guys just put a lot of raw stats in there and go for offensive skills. I was especially surprised by the lack of health on the warder where 16k hp is usually normal on that class. And the DA is enough for the build to only have 1pt wendigo totem and warcry.
