Not sure if it’s a bug, but it feels like my new (started in 0.75b) town consumes much more food than I’m used to from previous runs. I’ve got 2 hunters (deer), 2 fishers, 2 smokehouses and 4 or 5 gatherers which struggle to supply 75ish people, even during the end of summer and autumn.
Did anybody else notice something similar? I’ll have a look tomorrow if it is just high spoilage due to not much preservation being available in the early game.

Do you have a gate in your fence anywhere? Villagers can’t get in to shift the dead if there’s no gate.

Well, america does not have “medieval times”. I mean… you know, America was colonised way up to the 1600+, and founded as a country in July 4, 1776. That continent had native tribes and such.

Fresh food preservation early game is hella important, so not sure why that ability has been “taken away”

And if they can’t make metal rings for the barrels let them fix the planks together with wicker or something. The paydown will be that the barrels have a limited life but at least there will be some way to keep food longer
Lethros seem to be the only one trader that sells it. Dont miss his visit everytime he comes by.

- Fixed an issue where Traveling Merchant warning would remain stuck on screen after merchants leave.
- Fixed an issue where harvests would not get collected immediately after loading a game.
- Fixed an issue with Barn births not accounting correctly for overpopulation
- Fixed an issue where Barn births per year displayed higher than the barn would actually generate.
[Game]
- Building Repair costs now cap out at 50% of the original cost, down from 100%.
- Building Repairs now accumulate slower, giving builders more time to get around to making repairs. Builders now perform repairs faster and sooner, at 60% remaining durability, previously 40%.
- Increased the minimum number of farmers per field to 2. This means 5x5 fields now have more farmers to keep up with all the work.
- Barracks, Towers, and Fences no longer require maintenance.
