Poor Creed:D
Shattering game mode?
Thinking of a shattered reality; perhaps some dimensional endless dungeon? See how far down we can go before we die?
I recall the original plans for D3 rifts were to be dungeons that would just go down deeper and deeper in level, each next level guarded by a boss and each progressive level more difficult to beat. They cut that design into rifts with keys for player convenience (e.g. if you want to actually eat your dinner), but with the pause and offline functionality in GD I don’t think this design is needed.
On the other hand, such a dungeon design is perhaps too similar to crucible, and thus not very new/exciting. No idea what else shattering might mean though.
Well, we’ll find out when Zantai decides it’s time to tell us. Which will happen - eventually.
-Forgotten Gods is adding 9 new constellations and 5 new celestial powers.
- there will be 4 new factions.
1 new enemy faction and 3 new friendly factions representing each of the 3 witch gods, you can only ally with one of them, but it does not make the other 2 hostile.
New xpac can be started shortly after rolling a new character and does not necessarily follow AoM storyline.

Iekkk…so I have to wait till I know which offers the best Augments, Blueprints…
New summons as well.
Not increasing the devotion cap.
And several new earned skill points.
I missed the stream. I hope one of you doesn’t mind posting the spoilers to this thread
@Autentist I hope we get to summon a Sandclaw (and I hope it won’t be a crap pet)
Not increasing the devotion cap.
9 new constellations though…this will be interesting.
New game mode is part of the main world, not a separate menu option like crucible.
More support for 2H Pierce is coming.
Some new secret area is present.
Oh God, yes! I would really love that.
Here is the whole list i copy paste:
Forgotten Gods is adding 9 new constellations and 5 new celestial powers.
are korvaak and empyrion the same entity? depends who you ask…
we’re not adding any more skeleton key dungeons any time soon…a new feature in FG will make the existing once more interesting…and the new game mode fulfills a similar need
there will be 4 new factions
well, you will select one, getting a few unique quests
but selecting one does not make you enemies with the other 3
yes, one new hostile faction
new constellations are more…primordial
I mean, in terms of how big the new chapter is…60% of AoM? and then there’s the new game mode…
new game mode is part of the main world, not a separate menu option like crucible
thanks for summing it up!
No auto pickup
FG almost devoid of Aetherials and Chthonians
9 new constellations
5 new celestial powers
Lots of complications adding hirelings so no to them
New feature makes existing rogues more interesting
New shrines
4 new factions one of which is hostile
Allying with 3 cults of the Witch gods, allying with one doesn’t make you hostile with the others
New summons - Sandclaw
New relics
Medal augments - but not the way you think!
FG independent of AoM and you can enter soon after rolling a new toon
Additional skill/attribute points throughout FG
Some 2h pierce support coming
seems like they took all the complaints about “there being no end-game” to heart
@medea, you forgot one:
FG will require AOM because there is necro and inquisitor gear in there
If that’s true it’s gonna piss a lot of people off.
Not that I care, nor should anyone else, everyone should own every GD related game.
well it’s true, Zantai said it
Recap for you, mortals (and for one fossil primordial as well).
1.0.6:
“maybe late april/early may”

“Forgotten Gods is adding 9 new constellations and 5 new celestial powers”
“new constellations are more…primordial”
“the new chapter of the story is independent of the AoM plotline”
“the new chapter is almost entirely devoid of aetherials/chthonians”
“you will be able to experience it very soon after rolling a character, if you wish”
“we’re not adding any more skeleton key dungeons any time soon…a new feature in FG will make the existing once more interesting…and the new game mode fulfills a similar need
there will be new shrines of course”
“the new game mode is pretty neat…it does things people didn’t think this engine could do :P”
“we don’t plan on “tying up” the story”
1 act, about 60% of AoM content in size
New game mode is built in campaign
Assorted:
“PTH formula is not changing, it just has a minimum output now”
“I think the witch gods might have some cool new tricks for you”
“there’s some 2h pierce support on the way”
“the game’s performance is not likely to improve much more, we squeezed a lot out of this engine”
“no, console will not have crossplay”
Didn’t forget. Iirc it’s already been mentioned by Zantai in the announcement thread, in the previous stream and I think I mentioned it in this thread as well that FG will require AoM. Old news/spoiler.
Whoever designed the Sandclaws did an amazing job, super glad we can summon them. I wonder if it’d be regular Sandclaw or a new Necromancer Item Summon - Undead Sandclaw
Thank you for not increasing the devotion cap, it is perfect as it is.
Did anyone inquire about a potential new super boss? We can never have too many of those. This feels like a perfect opportunity for a Lovecraftian Horror Superboss
Thanks for summarizing this up
