Obviously the player character is Empyrion who willingly fell from the high heavens to show that it is not just his spear that can do it, betraying Ulzuin in the process who in his bitterness gave into wrath and became Korvaak.
Okay, so Ch’thon killed himself and became Empyrion who fell to Cairn and became the Taken to prove he wasn’t Ch’thon but this upset Ulzuin who became Korvaak to trick Mogdrogen into thinking that Menhir wasn’t Oleron’s evil twin brother who stole Aeon’s wristwatch and sold it to Dreeg’s cousin Yugol?
It still makes more sense than most anime and soap operas.
I am absolutely savoring this fantastic lore dump. Can’t wait for this expansion!
awesome art, and I cant wait for the expansion

Love the look of this! Maybe do the other gods after these ones which will be cool!
Please tell me female characters will be able to acquire Byscilla’s corset or something like it.
No.
10 thingys
not one but 3 witch factions? Oh dear, my purifier is going to have a crisis of conscience.
LMFAO, gonna put this in my sig.
Nice job Crate, i rarely buy stuff on release date, but i’m glad to make an exception for forgotten god expansion! Meanwhile can we get a changelog for the 1.0.7.0 patch before its release like you did in the past?
Yeah changelog or we’ll burn this damn place!
Which would result in no changelog, no patch and no expansion. Yeah, way to go!
you cant be so pessimistic medea! We will get it today the notes and tomorrow the actual game patched. Week ends going to be so dope!
I can taste it already!
Forgive me , i was instigated by the other guy
Notes come after patch is released.
Thanks.
Ah, I see you are a follower of Ulzuin as well.
I get to be pessimistic.
I bought the game on GOG so I won’t get the patch until next week anyway.
I know the waiting is the hardest part of life. Hopefully Crate partners with Epic Games so that we can move there and get patches a month early before Steam and GOG.

I’m sorry, but I don’t get it. Suppose I have a Oathkeeper/Inquisitor hybrid. Oathkeeper is - if I recall it right - sworn servant of Empyrion. Inquisitor is a member of the Luminari order, so well, is an actual sworn enemy to the occult, and as it is, the Witch Gods themselves. Suppose I also pick to kill Anasteria along the way and I do let the guys burn the witch outside of Homestead, and also support the Kymon’s Chosen.
Maybe it’s because I do take my characters way too personal (not only considering their build and outfit), but I cannot see this character go act as an emissary to the Witch Gods. I know, it’s not an RPG, but still…
Oathkeepers are not strictly tied to Empyrion but many choose to serve him.
I imagine your character would take it as a “lesser of 2 evils” situation - the way Korvaak is being built up, presumably if he was allowed to return to full strength would be a much larger threat than allowing the Witch Gods to rule over the Eldritch realm as they do currently.
You mean kind of like with the Coven and bringing Ulgrim back? Yeah, that could be, from my character point of view. After all, the inquisition did already extend its hand to the Vigil AND said Coven.
But I find it hardly beliveable that this character would be the Witch Gods first choice. Unless they too are desperate, and despite all odds, our “champion” is the only guy in the world they know would pull it through.
Hmm, if that would be the case, it should make for quite a lot of funny dialogue options.
