Did anyone else notice the changed HUD art, from gold metal trim to iron? Personally I liked the gold one better, is this permanent or were you just testing?

The iron looks way better, imo. The gold would fit a setting like in Titan Quest or a Pirate ARPG better.
Plus, in a way, the iron color choice can be a tribute to Iron Lore.

Regarding the changed HUD: I really, really like it. Don’t even care that it is lopsided anymore, the way it is now is perfect, at least for me. I especially like the change from gold to iron borders, because I feel that it matches the, uhm, “grim” atmopshere… Ok, not my best one, but you get my point.

Personally this sums up what I think of the old HUD and why I don’t like the new iron borders over the gold:

I personally like the interface. It seems like some users complained about the gold color, but I think it gives it some snazz! Besides, since iron is supposed to be a valuable resource in this game, the gold interface makes the player character seem somehow special or otherwise not restricted by the mundane laws of the average citizen of the world. Maybe I’m looking into it too much, but the gold seems like a good representation of the player character (and it doesn’t seem gaudy either, in my opinion).

I just love that description of it! So please, bring back the gold!

Sorry, Crate had to spend all their gold into making this game. So they’re only left with some iron and a lot of cardboard of all the pizza boxes they had delivered to their studio.

The level of detail is pretty impressive. I love it when developers put love into the small things. They mean a lot.

Looks stunning though the General Store’s roof has a few holes showing grass instead of the inside of building. Of course it could be a overhang where underneath the roof is merely a covering for people to travel under. As for the tavern everything looks good except the chimney for obvious reasons.

Anyways looks good, road more traveled is fine though I’m not sure if having the portal so close to the road, but since I don’t know what the portal does I can’t really say that now can I?

Keep up the great work and hopefully alpha details will be given out on Wednesday. Ok a bit selfish but one can hope to have a little more icing on one’s birthday cake yes?

You may have been wondering how Grim Dawn will guide you along your journey. The short answer is: not very much. Grim Dawn will not be holding your hand and lighting a yellow brick path for you to follow. It will provide you with contextual assistance though. NPCs will give directions to the best of their knowledge of the area. You may discover clues to the locations of dark secrets while out exploring the ruins of civilization. Or you may look upon road signs to point you towards major destinations.

There is nothing with the Wizard of Oz, I mean it was an awesome movie back in the days. Still, I cannot believe you are not going to make it obvious, IT WILL TAKE ME MORE 50+ HOURS TO REACH THE FINAL BOSS OF ACT 1, AND I GET NO GUIDANCE, THAT IS SO MESSED UP! /sarcasm
