Point is Crate has been boasting a 2024 release date and it’s getting swept under the rug. I would honestly expect this thing to get pushed back into 2026 with another “We’re adding more stuff” line.

I know you’re only (half?) joking, but this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Software can not damage hardware. The game is also perfectly serviceable. Sure, it might not be the best game engine and not use the most advanced technologies, but it runs fine. More modern game engines do not necessarily run better. They might look a bit more fancy, but quite often they also, as you say, burn a hole through your motherboard and/or gpu. 
It’s nice in winter though as it helps heat my room. 
It’s a known issue that has been discussed on this forum for years. It is deeply embedded on this forum. Look it up.
Which bit? That it’s old? Doesn’t always run great? I know it doesn’t, but neither do (all) modern games. 
I don’t call stating once in the announcement that they expected to release in 2024 is boasting about it. And, as they did with Forgotten Gods, if they feel they need more time then I for one am glad they tell us so rather than leave us hanging.
And giving us MOAR has become a sort of trademark of Crate over the years.

Spin it how you want, at the end of the day FoA is pushed back into 2025 and there’s community feedback for it. And rightly so.
Will the Reap Spirit vitality to aether conversion on Aeon’s Eye affect both the direct attack part and the player pet part? I’m also not too keen on the global cold to lightning conversion because that would negatively affect aether builds that take Soul Harvest.
I don’t think so. It’ll just allow Dual Blades and Belgo Shears to affect ranged attacks, which would be thematically possible and sensible because the projectiles would be turned into blades.
this is just, straight up untrue?
they’ve been open about it from the start, and direct since what May? or something, that it was getting more and more likely it would be 2025

I recommend some self-reflection. Your post was a joke, misrepresenting Crate’s communication + mentioning unrelated engine issues with some silly threat.
You make it sound like pushing the release to 2025 is a bad thing.

I so wish.
Everyone’s hyped up for FoA and PoE2 adding shape shifting, but Titan Quest already did it. 
It’s hilarious seeing people complaining about FoA getting delayed when other fanbases actually would welcome a delay to the big titles of the franchises they follow. Like a lot of Pokemon fans want Gamefreak to actually delay their next game because the previous ones were clearly rushed out the door unfinished and unpolished.
Obviously i don’t want Crate to take forever to make the expansion, my time in this world is finite, but i’m sure Crate also doesn’t want to take forever to do it. But sometimes plans change and they have to pivot, so a delay is necessary.

I am dying for this expansion… I hope I’ll live to see the day. Still may favorite game, a resting place for my mind and soul. Still cannot believe this is happening and we are getting MOAR! I want to sell my soul for early testing access
