but it doesn’t really make a lot of sense to get an update on the Soldier Mastery AFTER the alpha has been released
so, yeah, doesn’t look good to get the alpha in the next 4 weeks
What is wrong with having Grim Misadventures continuing when Alpha is out?
edit: ibugsy makes a good point with the updates. not everyone will be in Alpha.
If there would be an NDA for the alpha it would make some kind of sense. So this information shared would be interesting for the non alpha players. But afaik there is no NDA for the alpha, so I think we will need a little more patience. :undecided:
Actually, it does since not everyone has alpha access. It’s a way of updating everyone on the masteries.
Hopefully we’ll get an update by Mediarra at some point concerning the release of the alpha…I’m starting to go crazy, checking this forum every single hour if not more! :rolleyes:

there is no NDA
there will be play-through videos on youtube, there will be skill calculators posted one week after the alpha is released, there will be tons of posts on the soldier mastery and various bullds
so even if you’re not in the alpha you will have lots of info on the mastery without having to wait for an official update
Awesome. I am really excited about this class, but I can’t wait to see the others, too. I have no idea what I’ll play first.
I’m no longer excited about this project, to be honest. I was at one time, very excited. But I’m just not anymore. I thought I would share my opinion, so Crate knows there aren’t just happy campers out there. Who knows, I wasn’t going to post this at all, but maybe I’m letting you know the opinion of those that aren’t posting/aren’t investing.

Well, I for one think that if the alpha is really month and a half to be ready yet, devs will confirm it in a day or two. Till then, I’ll stick with the “probably 2 weeks” thing.
I’d stop guessing. It only makes the wait more painful. 
Someone probably already mentioned it but the skill tree looks like a copy of Titan Quest’s skill tree. This version is just horizontal instead of vertical. I kind of expected that there would be similarities when Grim Dawn is made by the same developers. That being said I still like it.
I find it to be my favorite skill tree system ever made, so I’m more than happy.

I think that is totally understandable. Before I got into the game industry, I never followed games in development; I only checked in periodically to see whether they were out yet. I expect many people are the same and I’d hope they’d go off and enjoy other games until we release.
We know people are impatient to play Grim Dawn and we are doing our best to work quickly but we’re not going to release the alpha before we feel it is ready. Caving in to that pressure would be no better than having a publisher that dictated our release schedule.
I predicted today. How dare you let my all powerful reputation take a hit like that.
