It’s called GDStash. Make such a character with the tool and then play the game.
you can already do that, just enter custom mode and give yourself everything you wish with dev commands
It’s very quick & easy to do this already…
- Make a complete build using Grim Dawn Build Calculator then click the “Share” button on the left-hand side to get a GT link.
- Copy that link, then download @Odie’s GD save file editor.
- Open the GD save file editor and type “make-char [paste your GT link]”, hit enter and then it will generate the character after you name it.
- ???
- Profit!
Then you’re good to go! ![]()

I sincerely don’t get people who don’t understand that good things take time. And especially when you already have the game and its two expansions, with potentially 200 different builds to try out and great gear to endlessly farm. Unless someone has continuously played this game for more than 10 years, I can’t see patience running thin.
Raises hand.
And no, I’m patient because I know it’ll be worth the wait.
You can’t even lose your shit and make bizarre threats any more. It’s political correctness gone mad.
Or because you’re the “Super Moderator” and forced to have this answer even if you think otherwise.
They announce the extension much too early, three years ago. Or even more maybe. For an extension, it’s waaaay too long.
Moreover They said last year that the game would be released before the end of the year, then retracted, increasing frustration and impatience.
25 february they said :
“Now if you’ll excuse us, we have an expansion to ship!”
Meaning the extension IS actually ready to be released.
Three months later, nothing. It’s exactly the same problem.
I’m fairly confident we’ll be announcing the release date in May.
I won’t forget this and believe we will know the release date this month, but that doesn’t mean it will be released this month or the next month. Maybe in september, october, november? Maybe next year, again?
So yeah, have patience guys.
Nah.
Can’t rush a good thing.
Or that they needed to work on the expansion so that it could be shipped. What, you think they’re just sitting on a finished product, not releasing it intentionally, for…some reason?
Guess Crate hates money or something.
Well, it seems to me that if they’d love money they would’ve released it long ago. It seems more likely that they love quality, self-esteem (that would result from something that isn’t frowned upon) and peace of mind (because if after the release they’d have a mountain of problems to solve, there would be even more pressure with everything kept on hold for everyone until they’re fixed).
Congratulations! You won!

Where the hell do these people come from. I really hope they delay. It’ll mean more and better content for the normal people, along with a whole lotta entertainment watching the crazies lose their minds. ![]()
I also somehow feel they did announce it too early, and that 3 years between the announcement and release of an expansion is too much.
However, there were probably some reasons for announcing it exactly when they did, and I believe Crate’s track record shows they do have a good marketing strategy, so it’s more likely they’re right and I’m wrong.
Also, everyone who follows this game knows just knows how much content they actually do pack in their DLC releases, so I’m sure FoA will be worth the wait
I think they will say in the next misadventure about the release date of update or dlc, but I know they’re doing a good work! So I will wait more if necessary.
If I remember correctly they already stated in one of the misadventures that they announced it quite early and ended up needing more time than they initially thought due to multiple projects, more content etc. (I don’t remember the exact reason, but something like that.)
Would I have liked to see it earlier? Sure. But it is what it is. All we can do is be patient. ![]()
Yeah, it would be nice if the 3rd xpack was available now (or sooner), especially since I really like this game a lot. However, I have taken a few extended breaks and still have ideas to test out and play different builds. Yes, The Poop Thrower of DOOM is in that queue too. Crate can take all the time they want. I am sure it will be a total game changer, and I eagerly await the awesomeness that will be soon™ish!
they said the DLC release date will have an extra post, not with the misadventures.
I want to know more about your brain’s classification system.
