If you could have 1 request to implement in grim dawn, what would it be?

All i am gonna say is your basically proving my point with your file telling you where is the gear lol

20 mules is nothing when there are hundreads of legendary/epic/Mis items above lvl 84.

You still didn’t answer my questions and you definitly don’t own every items above lvl 84
I guess have fun managing your mules and updating your file.

Also, just so you know, end game gear means nothing (you keep bringing that up), and perfect MI are very hard to get, so you either keep good rolls or you make less builds and farm for a longer period of time on each build.

The strengh of Grim Dawn is build diversity, if you don’t keep too many items, especially different rolls on MI… even impervious of vitality can be great on pants or shoulders to have on hand when you need resist and HP. I guess it depends the amount of builds you wanna make… I’ve lvled at least 100 builds so far since 2016, and I will lvl a lot more with the upcoming expansion… I just like to try builds that are interesting to me, And for that I need to optimise my time… the best way to do so is to keep items, even some you wouldn’t use most of the time for end game because you will realise that if you try many builds you will need gear on hand. Also, you won’t try to min max every builds, sometimes you just wanna try a decent set-up and see if it’s a build you wanna play more over time.

I prefer to know quicker if I like to play a build or not, hence why I like to keep more gear

PS : I do manage my items when I get them out of my Item Assistant by removing the items with weaker rolls, but MIs are way harder to manage because of the amount of good affixes you can get. Futhermore, at this point, in my case with the amount of time I’ve played the game, It better have great stats for me considering keeping an epic/legendary

Reading your feedback and not answering all questions, i’ve come to the conclusion that you’re the type of person that likes to argue for the sake of talking. You just say how you feel with no argument backing it up.

That should count too as end-game gear. To get better attributes on your stored items you always have to compare and replace them.

Well, I told you how I feel about the stash situation and how I handle it. Seeing that it’s not a lie, I think I do have my experience as backup. I don’t have as many hours of gameplay as you do, but rather a tenth. Does that make me unqualified for an opinion? I don’t think so. If you have a problem with limited space, you should change your strategy. Similar to the case (or any other case from the real world) where you want to put all the animals on Earth on a single ark. You should instead group animals by their type on multiple (and smaller) arks and keep only a few copies, instead of every copy there is. This is generally the solution for everything, splitting the whole into multiple smaller pieces. That’s why binary balanced search trees (and a few other similar structures) are still the most efficient way to organize data. A huge whole (like a linear list) is harder to manage.

Here’s an example why multiple characters, each having a single type of item, are better. Let’s assume I want to sneak in an extra copy of pants in my storage. For my current setup, I load the build that holds all the pants and I add them to it. If I already have copies of the same pants, I move just a few of the pants around it to the back of the list, to make room for the extra copy right next to the existing ones. For a single huge list with all the items, it would be a nightmare (or even impossible) to make room for new pieces while maintaining the grouping feature (as in keep all pants grouped in the same block for easier access).

Just out of curiosity, because I’m not here just to argue (even though you think otherwise), what is your solution to all of this? Because you might have a better solution for this after all and I might be instantly convinced to jump in the same boat too. For now, the boat I’m in doesn’t create any problems for me, but it doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t welcome a better one (if it exists).

I just use Item Assistant, that’s the solution, I won’t manage multiple mules
I have been using it for years and it gets the job done

People said that’s something they would want implemented directly in game (above in this thread) but we have the communivty version of it.

That sounds good. So, I suppose that you can’t unlock the full power of that tool without a huge linear stash? Can’t the tool easily manage multiple storage characters as well? And keep in mind that there are also people like me who like to experience that old-fashioned manual muling style and who aren’t fans of third party tools, while being happy that it’s a lot easier to mule than it was for the old Diablo game.

Oh, ok. Then I for one don’t know if it would be an improvement to the game or not, since I haven’t used it. But from what you’re saying, it must be. So, I suppose that I’m not against it (and who am I anyway). I’m happy either way, as long as I have an efficient method to manage the storage, that’s my point. The stash’s search bar is already one of the things that provide great assistance to quickly find a particular item.

Honestly, the only thing I’d want for Grim Dawn are extra polish to combat feedback - monsters shattering when killed with ice, melting when killed with poison, etc.

I know I know it propably won’t happen, just that’s the only thing to make this game absolutely complete in my eyes.

The tool has filters and a search box, so it’s easy to find what you want

How about your DAR being used rather the Default Attack when the LMB skill is on cooldown.
Maybe not the most important but most probably not mentioned here already.

Since you brought this up, I’d also like to suggest again that most (if not all) skills should be allowed to be assigned to the left mouse button. Like Eye of reckoning or Drain essence. So you can free the right mouse button for a debuff skill (like Curse of Frailty) or a secondary skill with a cooldown (like Forcewave), to be used easier next to the main spammable attack.

Which one? You can have two or three or four, maybe even five! If you’re an idiot/have no clue what you’re doing

I mean, good point: if a new player takes 2 of them, they are probably making a mistake. These skills could be mutually exclusive, like high-level exclusive skills.

I think I’ve taken both Cadence and Fire Strike on my very first character and only realized my mistake a long time after…

Iirc it’s something to do with movement, but yeah, I’d really like to be able to put all active skills on the LMB. So many times I’ve planned a build and then junked it because the main one can only go on the RMB. :sob:

Would be nice if Waystone blueprints dropped in the game randomly instead of exclusively in SR. 3 skill points and 1 attribute point locked behind the grind of SR is daunting for SSF characters and it would be awesome to have a celestial waystone blueprint (for example) drop from a totem in the world (or nemesis, treasure trove, rogue chest, etc.). That way the SSF character can start and finish the required SR necessity at shard 26 and collect the skills/attributes without the grind.

Same. I forget what build I was recently theory crafting, but I scrapped it because the spammable dps spell could only be used on the right click of the mouse, not the left click. Tho, I am relieved that the ‘throw poop’ spell from the poop pants can be on the left click since that would be my primary source of damage for that meme build.

More bridges to repair, Homestead gets some cannons (mortars) when found.

Improved local vs cloud save management. Still sometimes run into problems with characters syncing correctly, duplicating, or even being recognized after reinstallation.

or

A summoned pet illusion option since there’s so many that look cool but you are limited on what you can use due to many being tied down to wearing specific equipment.

There are a few cosmetic pets in the game. Not sure that’s what you meant.

Yes! This!

There are several places in the game where bridges can me made/repaired.

the pet illusion system sounds especially interesting

Don’t know if you got yours from GoG, but when I had cloud sinc problems… I turned it off and all save games/info is on my hard drive. I lost a lot of gear and progress because of that problem. Never again. Plus, all it really does is track how many hours I have played and maybe an achievement here and there, so no big loss.

An inventory item lock/favorite marker, combined with a “sell all unmarked items in inventory” option when interacting with a merchant.

The only thing I’m not sure about is how it would fit into the current controls/UI, since Grim Dawn already uses quite a few key combinations.
