[Mod] D2 Classes aka Noble Paladin

I’m not telepathist, but I’m sure you say about D2 blacksmith in DoM.
This is D2C topic, and horadric cube here have that recipes (albeit a bit buggy). If you need recipes in DoM you must ask it @mamba at DoM topic.

I apologize. I was under the impression that the Horadric Cube was your territory. Not sure I know how else to craft runewords, but even if I can’t figure it out, still a great mod for a great game. Thanks for your quick response.

The cube in the D2 mod is Denis territory, the one in DoM mod is mine. Theoretically they should be the same (after the upgrade), but they are not because I forgot to include them…

Ahhh, that explains so much. But not to worry, I’m just happy enough that the update is live. Thanks to both of you for continuing this awesome legacy. You modders and everything you’re able to make are quality I would pay money for.

I am afraid the thread and updates to this mod are too complex for my comprehension. Could you please tell me how the classes here vary from RoT when it was borrowed for that project all those years ago? I thought it might be fun to play this one day in Mamba’s compilation mod. D2 in GD, how appealing! :smiley:

How they compare with the versions in RoT today. I’m very familiar with that mod.

Classes here and in ROT are totally different. Classes in RoT are on average 3 - 4* stronger because RoT has its own balancing. There are also different skills

As attempt to follow GD balance line and at the same time not deviate significantly from skills mechanics of D2.

Poison creeper doesnt work again. It just stands there and doesnt attack. Check it out.

Poison creeper works fine (except vine slam) and it didn’t touched since november 2021.
If have problem with DoM version report it in DoM thread.

Ral Rune - increased fire damage
Dol Rune - reduced chance to fear, added % chaos damage.
Um Rune - added missing bleeding damage
Fal Rune - resistance to bleeding increased to 16%.
Pul Rune - added damage to Aether Corruptions
Gul Rune - added % piercing damage
Vex Rune - added % aether Damage
Ohm Rune - reduced all damage, added all retaliation damage.
Ber Rune - added % vitality and vitality decay damage
Weakened the damage multiplier on all items (total damage modified by).
Fixed recipes for new runeword helms.
Fixed armor value for runeword armor Hustle
Runeword Last Wish - Returned the missing granted skill, changed the chance of health reduction to % chance of physical damage.
Other minor changes to runewords, including those based on runes changes
Updated the Horadric Cube model and icon to allow it to be summoned (icon not used)
Added crafting off-hand
Added crafting Katar - a special assassin weapon, only level 94
Updated models for a large number of items.
Added attach points for visual effects on melee weapons.

Paladin
Lightning Resistance - fixed max resistance scaling
Knight Strike - Slightly increased weapon damage scaling at high levels
Sacrifice - reworked damage progression, slightly reduced damage at ultimate levels
Charge - skill damage scaling is significantly reduced.

Barbarian
Shout - added Shield Recovery Time
Battle Rage - Freeze bonus added, Aether damage bonus slightly reduced.
Battle command - reworked to Shout modifier, now gives a bonus to all damage and AO
Whirlwind - reduced % weapon damage, radius and movement speed, increased energy cost
Mighty whirlwind - new skill, Whirlwind transmuter, adds damage, radius and reduces cost, available only for two-handed melee.
Kick - new WPS
Berserk - added resistance to reflected damage
Frenzy - reworked into temporary buff - Double Swing modifier

Druid
Poison Creeper - fixed a bug due to which the creeper did not use the Vine Slam skill at levels 2+
Solar Creeper - radius reduced to 15m, added % poison and acid damage
Cyclone Armor - Reworked to an on buff, damage absorption reworked accordingly
Hurricane - Reworked to the Cyclone Armor modifier.
Feral Rage - redesigned into a chargeable attack similar in design to the GD, the Werewolf requirement has been removed
Maul - reworked to Feral Rage mod but requires Werebear to unlock
Fire Claws - reworked into Feral Rage transmuter
Fury - reworked to Feral Rage modifier
Rabies - fixed autocast activation condition from on hit to on attack, removed Werewolf requirement
Hunger - reworked to WPS, Werewolf requirement removed

Assassin
Tiger Strike - redesigned into a skill with a final discharge (like a Cadence)
Cobra Strike - added % piercing damage
Phoenix Strike - moved to level 7, reworked into a secondary buff, added % of piercing and elemental damage, autocast moved to a separate skill
Discharge - Phoenix Strike - new skill activated when Tiger Strike is discharged, fires projectiles, damage between elements is aligned
Fist of Fire - moved to level 2 reworked into Tiger Strike transmuter, autocast moved to a separate skill
Finishing - Fist of Fire - new skill, activated when killed by certain skills, damage adjusted
Claws of Thunder - moved to level 3, reworked into Tiger Strike transmuter, autocast moved to a separate skill
Discharge - Claws of Thunder - new skill, activated when Tiger Strike is discharged, damage adjusted
Finishing - Claws of Thunder - new skill, activated when killed by certain skills
Blades of Ice - moved to tier 5, reworked into Tiger Strike transmuter moved to a separate skill
Finishing - Blades of Ice - new skill, activated on kill by certain skills, damage adjusted
Mind Blast - reworked into a Psychic Hammer secondary modifier
All WPS - Damage progression reworked
Dragon Tail - skill template changed
Shocking Web - reduced number of projectiles and spread angle, added fragments, reworked damage progression, added electrocut damage

Since I realize prior that you weren’t able to have proper Druid Werewolf/Werebear transformations due to the previous engine limitations, I’m very much hoping to see what kind of new life you breathe into the Druid when the next expansion hits. :pray: If indeed they do anything fundamentally new, please, please, pleeeeaaase give the animals some love!

Cyclon Armor - active energy cost removed
Hurricane - active energy cost removed, energy reserve increased
Rabies - base weapon damage increased by 15%

Necromancer
Iron Maiden - Autocast skill moved to Attract, energy cost uincreased, reduced duration, ajusted RR scaling added bleeding damage
Attract - moved to tier 4, reworked to Iron Maiden modifier, mind control replaced by previously Iron Maiden autocast skill.

Amazon
Fist of Zerae - base weapon damage increased by 5%
Pierce - base weapon damage increased by 10%

Assassin
Dragon Tail - base weapon damage increased by 15%
Dragon Claw - base weapon damage increased by 15%
Dragon Talon - base weapon damage increased by 15%

Mod reuploaded: fixed issue when Assassin’s Sentries not visible.

today, playing your Noble Paladin mod I have finally passed 5000 hours in Grim Dawn, so I have a little celebration :slight_smile: I think this mod is finished and polished and awesome, do you have plans or ideas to develop something new? As Create announced new modding possibilites.

Not sure what new modding possibilites you mean. I the future updates i’ll planing additional palance pass if needed, lvl rescaling legendary items, and may be few new skills/modifiers. I’ve also plan add new rare items with + vaious skills, to replace + all skills from existed items. With upcoming DLC, i’ll check waht new can иe implemented and try rework shapeshifting as much as possible. And sure, I’ll try to transfer new things from D2R if they will.
