[Mod] Reign of Terror

That could explain why I never came close to destroying one goblin. I have a similar build, full on Necro summons but no golum. I wasn’t sure if my minions were attacking the goblin or not, I didn’t see any animations to indicate they were.

There was, however, damage being done to it from my minions somehow. I’d have to play again to tell, at the time I couldn’t.

I’ve found you need to use the ‘Pet Attack’ command to get minions to attack the goblin.

Fixed in the current 0.6.1.6 release. All you need to do is re-download it.

Awsome, getting right on that

Thx.

Is there a way to get the free sockets on an item from Larzuk in act v?

I feel stupid for asking but I haven’t been able to find the answer in any searches so far…

I am trying to make some runeword gear but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do this. I have seen a couple of posts that say use the anvil but I still don’t see it. What am I missing?

You can only make runewords once you get the horadric cube. Once you get it, right clicking it places it onto the ground, and clicking it allows you to craft runewords.

Thank you so much.

OK super noob question here but y so hard? I’m whacking on an elite pack for about 2 hours now…

Thank you Goober. I remember something about that. I believe I did use pet attack at some point, still didn’t kill it. I’ll give more info later if I get around to playing more if it doesn’t confuse me too much, LOL.

Just got the Mod and applied the hotfix, trying to make a sorceress but when I put points in fireball or ice blast I can’t put the skills on my action bar. Am I missing something or is it a bug?

Monster hp scaling is getting rebalance in the near future. For now, make sure to max out any offensive skill asap to keep doing enough dmg.

Skills with round icons are modifiers to the main skills with square icons. GD feature.

I’m guessing you cant get the socket reward from act 5 then? Or nobody knows?

Oh, missed your message.

GD doesn’t have any socket system apart from 1 component / augment enchant limit. Sockets in RoT are pretty much just a visual thing and hence there is no functionality present that would allow me to implement this feature directly. There is a workaround for that but it is not the best approach: Larzuk would have new convo dialog (dozens of options) after completing the quest to turn any available socketed item in your invetory into higher socket one. The con of this method is that all of the existing and new potential future socket combinations would have to be listed there which is quite a lot of manual work, but doable. I will see what I can do about this before the next hotfix that will be released later tomorrow.

If its just visual, then how does the runewords actually work? You could could always just give a reward of one runeword unique equal to your level or lower? Less work, and sort of in the realm of thematics.

Runewords are simple crafting recipes. So all you need is the required set of items to be able to craft them. Therefore, from a technical standpoint it doesn’t matter whether the socketed items have sockets or not because all that changes is the item name and ui bitmap (item icon). If I replaced socketed item in RW recipe with let’s say a health potion, it would still work the same way as long as you would have all required items (hp potion, runes and enough gold) in your inventory / stash.

Ahh that makes sense, and was a goode way of doing it! May i suggest maybe just a reward of four random runes of around your level then? Or a random full socket item? Also, if the socets are just visual, then does it matter how many “sockets” and item has for the recipes?

EDIT: Oh and also, possible bug. I have noticed that a few rare items are not showing up, even though i have regular rares set in my filter, and DONT have only double rares set. As in, sometimes i just check with show all items, and i find level worthy rare items around, when the filter shows me none.

It does matter how many sockets the item have because each socketed item is unique dbr entry and thus only this specific item is needed to meet RW crafting recipe requirement.

I already figured out how to implement it the closest way possible to D2 version within GD engine limitation so don’t worry, I will take care of that.

Ahh, that makes sense to, also awesme. Also also, i made an edit about a possible bug, incase you missed it. Thanks a lot for the replies

Having weird texture issues and no voices from NPC’s… what am I doing wrong?
