They didn’t even move, and still killed them faster and safer than any pet build I’ve seen here so far.
At this point I can only echo Maya’s million-dollar-question that no one so far has dared to answer: “If they can do it, why can’t we?”

I admittedly did no testing at sr90, but I’d expect to die as the player trying to push fast speeds like in 75-76. Probably okay safely like kiting casters otherwise? Guess I’ll try some runs tonight.
Ghol pets seemed a bit sturdier now, how much resummoning in 90?
Oh no! Quick, someone call the waahmbulance!
wait why sigil over ill omen or focused gaze? wtf
Well we’re talking a sample size of 1, so grain of salt. I also am not trying to set speed records, and don’t particularly care if I finish with 10 minutes on the timer or 10 seconds, as long as I don’t lose the character.
I did finish SR90 with 4 minutes on the timer, after a fun fight with Moosilaukke, Fabius, Theodin and Grava’Thul. As for resummoning, yes you have to resummon pets. Pets are damage spells, why should they be invincible? That said I never had a complete pet wipe.
Other than adding one point MoT and some hp augments cause the overcaps were crazy, I made no changes v0v
Golly gee, I sure hope my minor repositioning and having to hit summon buttons like cooldown spells doesn’t disqualify Maya’s build
If you are going to take my Skeletons to make an argument, do that against Callagadra to show how “minor” the repositioning is and how “infrequent” the resummoning is.
Oh right, you did -
Pets are not SpellCaster builds. So, if you are forced to play them like that with constant resummoning even against Ravager, might as well go for Spellcaster builds instead.
Meanwhile, non pet builds be like (while still having pets for theme, even if not pet scaled) -
But…superbosses are such a miniscule part of the entire game. If all you care about is to gdstash the gear then fight the superboss, just find out what the best build is for that and do it for an hour or 2 until you get bored, then the game’s dead. However, if you start from 0, build up a character from scratch, farm up the gear, faction rep, everything, etc etc, the pet build is quite possibly better in everything else in the entire game until you get to that superboss kill, which, again, you can still complete in 2-3 min apparently with the pet build.
I guess I just don’t understand why you think that pets have to be top tier as a starter build, top tier as a speed farmer, top tier in farming very difficult content, and then finally also top tier in the tiny handful of superboss encounters that are actually difficult on top of everything else. Oh, sorry, and you’ve decided this without more than a very small amount of playtesting, so we’re not even sure that you couldn’t still do every single encounter with pets but maybe have to change out some gear/skills for the superbosses.

Who ever said they should be like this?
Although in all but one of those videos, they’re unironically repositioning themselves to not die to attacks, so what is even the argument there?
Doesn’t really seem all that different from Eard’s recording, except they were still faster. I don’t have any videos of yours to look at so can’t compare how it goes for you.
so what is even the argument there?
That these changes have removed what made pet builds’ play style unique. They’ve now become an amalgamation that inherits the worst aspects of a melee and spellcaster play style: Having to constantly be on the move(most of the repositioning in those videos are just zipping back and forth) and having to re-summon constantly.
Maya’s assessment is correct here, at this point, might as well just go for a spellcaster build and skip handicapping yourself with a second-class pet build.
Are you saying that you’re going to change something in regards to player scaling pets? Just a question.
Devil’s advocate: it is a lot easier to reposition your toon then it is to reposition 10 skeletons, a blight fiend, the skeleton pet relic and 3 ghol’s spiders. I mean if all the pets evaded to your position with the evade skill there will likely be no debate. Yes you can use pet attack but they don’t move as a cohesive unit. Also forcewave or PRM doesn’t require you to build resistances for it and suffer from inherently long cooldowns.
Personally the challenge of having next to nothing in terms of pet knowledge and trying to get to endgame has been very fun and engaging, especially after dying as it has fired up the motivation.
My biggest gripe with pets, I wish their skins would change based on the dmg type I used. Acid skeletons please!!
Edit: oh alternatively it would be very useful if pets had a function similar to like a RTS unit where I could move them collectively and force stop them far from all the stuff on the ground without them leashing back. Yeah I could macro spam the pet attack sure. Personal thing I guess.

Pleas just stop before you hurt yourself.

Here is so far the only example I have of what I’d consider overly soft/unworkable pets specifically for Supers. Now there are plenty of player builds that basically can’t do Cally as well, so idk if this is even an issue as they survive enough in 75-76 that you’re not waiting on cooldowns anymore. Call this a show of good faith in testing what I think overall is an over the top reaction to PT changes
Putting together some updated Diviner set options to try tonight, and if I have time some non-set pet options as well. I trust that Bysmiel set is also a tough sell on Cally due to her AoE spam pooping on birbs, but they were always fine on Ravager and in SR/CR.
pet builds’ play style unique
Uniquely fitting for a browser game maybe, this is an A(ction)RPG though.

Pretty close since games like these are basically Cookie Clicker: RPG Edition no matter what class/build you play.
1.2 changes that. It’s Dark Souls starting from today
From dark souls to web clicker. GD has a lot to offer now with 1.2
