Any kind of “proof flag” would still be pointless as someone could just edit the item with the flag’s data or screenshot the item and photoshop the flag text in.
There’s the catch. You join mp trade the item and the authenticator checks the flag.
Even games like Diablo 2,3 and PoE aren’t cheat proof if one is into breaking rules. In GD, you can GDStash your way to success and even resurrect your toon if it dies. In Other games you can deploy bots (look up path of botting, bot of exile, D3 botting), duping and many other techniques not discussed publicly. It always boils down to who you are. If you are a cheater, you will cheat. If you have no self control and discipline, you will cross the line. That’s another reason to do these challenges, learn a bit more about yourself.
Back to the journey, I’ve just reached Ugdenbog. So far so good, the last close call was a long time ago. But this is just the calm before the storm as I’m not even on Elite yet. Using this opportunity to get all the devotions shrines and farm gear to prepare.
Care to post some gameplay of you doing this? Not sure what I should be visualising.
You asked for it. See the pain, lol. This is one of the first vids. I’ve recorded 350gb of raw clips so far. No time to edit, uploading as is, sorry. Very painful to watch till lvl 35, then it gets fast and easy. Upload is constantly in progress, but it might take a while till you see the current progress.
Lolz! Popcorn won’t cut it, hahaha. Slith’s vertigo FTW, lol. I need some beer and more vids pls!
Hope you guys don’t fall asleep. Try it yourself and see how slow veteran can be without shortcuts.
- Reached the sewers in Malmouth. Got the rep going, picking up the last two shrines, then off to the final act. Did a detour to SoT. Alkamos posed no threat at this level. Got another usable legendary. Before switching over to Elite, Id like to do a couple grove runs to check the vendor for blueprints, then run Valbury to get the last shrine.
- Grabbed the remaining Malmouth shrines, went to the grove and got a couple blueprints, including the Lvl 68 justice helmet! Visited port Valbury and got the last shrine before FG. 36 devotion points earned.
Currently at 7k hp, 1400DA, 1000 Armor and nearly max all resistances. Going to The final act to grab the last shrines and switching over to Elite! Can’t wait, cuz the last several hours were pretty boring.
Hi, complete beginner here, your classless HC char has better stats in every department(maybe except damage probably) than my RE Cabbalist(first char ever) at 58 I am working on now. Am seriously blown over by how deep knowledge of game is making all the difference for you…best of luck for going as far as you can…
Thank you for your kind words! Going classless has some advantages. You no longer care about skill and class bonuses on gear. You also can’t utilize multiple devotion procs due to lack of skills to assign to. This frees up a lot room for stats like flat HP, resistances, regeneration and DA. Pretty much every piece of gear on my char has the above bonuses. But the damage isn’t going to cut it in Ultimate, already can see that. I’ll probably start Elite tonight and rush to grab the remainder of the shrines to get the tree of life and obelisk. That should ensure survivability till Ultimate.
Welcome, am just worried what would happen when you encounter the Nemesis, have heard for even many amateurs, with full classes, they can’t kill all of them, though no idea whether they demand a skill check more or gear check more…
It’s both damage (along with resistance reductions) and toughness. Classless, you have no damage and even toughness is severely crippled in the end. Can it kill nemesis? Some… maybe. Will find out if this toon lives long enough.
- Finished FG, got all the shrines and started Elite.
First impressions:
Toughness is adequate, damage is barely ok, BUT with no good RR, highly resistant mobs take forever to eliminate. May have to get Witch Blade in the end to compliment Crown. This adds more woes, need another offensive proc to bind it to. And this is only Elite…
The permanent player scaled pet relics are very good for this type of challenge, as they add dps of their own and allow for a good source of devotion procs.
I was looking into that but don’t have any blueprints yet. Deathstalker would perfect for endgame but that changes my plans of going with fire damage. Will see…
- Made it to Cronley. Going slow in terms of leveling.
On the positive side, happy about toughness at this point.
HP 8.8k
Armor 1600
All res around max
DA 1700
HP Regen 1k
Damage ok
On the flip side, starting to see future problems. One huge problem to be exact. Lack of primary attributes. A lot of potentially great endgame gear will be out of scope. That includes rings, guns, swords, daggers, sceptres, caster armor, etc. Won’t have enough spirit and cunning to equip those.
This is going to severely affect my endgame setup, if this char makes it there…
Only possible route as a beginner am seeing is to get gear with good + attributes and hope that components and augments and better gear make it up for you probably for ignoring some defenses on gear…though balancing that would need a lot of RNG and time probably…
Your experience sounds similar. Even twinked you go through a period around lvl 30-80 where you feel very safe. And then from 80 onward you start feeling the pain again. And that’s twinked.
Hmmm… just had a very close call at level 65. Out of the blue, a boar hero, nothing special, almost one shot me. Burned through 9k life + 1k regen + 2k tortoise Like nothing. My stats:
1700 DA - zero chance to receive Crits
All resistances max, physical 20
Armor 1600
This especially odd as I’ve facetanked multiple boar heroes right before this one and even this beast couldn’t make a dent in me until his life was at about 5%. Also, facetanked Warden, Cronley, and every boss until now, even the big troll with his physical + trauma hits.
I really don’t know what’s going on. Gotta be more careful from now on, but this is very disturbing. Even if there was a debuff, I have enough overcap on res and DA to avoid such hits…
