I didn’t see this in the history, so forgive me if it’s a retread. Also, I have no way of knowing how big of a deal it would be to implement. I know PC hardware & software but I’m no programmer.
Anyway, I was recently playing another of my Favorite DoD’s (Decendants of Diablo ^_~ ) ‘Warhammer 40k: Inquisitor- Martyr’ and noticed how in addition to changing the Distance of Auto-Looting, you can also change the Quality of Items you pick up.
So, if a Player wanted to pick up everything but those Yellow ‘Magic’ Trash Items, that could just be a Checkbox in Options. If they even wanted to skip the Green Rares, & only pick up Epics & Legendaries, that would be another Checked Box.
Very simple in concept, but again, I have no way of knowing how hard to implement. I am sure though, that tons of players would be extremely grateful for this option.
assuming it’s not just loot filter like medea mentioned
Grim Internals used to have auto loot for certain items (not legendaries i think? - deliberately)
When GI died and some features got implemented into the game one of the things that didn’t make it, despite much request, was the auto loot of items, even the lower rarity stuff that GI did do.
I don’t remember if devs commented/elaborated on the decision back then tho
Yes, let me be clear. While you can set the filter to show only certain items ingame, the only autoloot you have is for components, consumables and crafting materials. If you want any of the items shown on the ground then you still need to pick them up.
There is this tool which has some autoloot, but I believe they also restricted it to not pick up Legendary and maybe Epic items same as GI was.
