Recently I’ve look through the old topics for meme builds, and two of them caught my eye most than the others:
Fireball Frank and Icicle Ivan
The premise is that we stack a lot of %chance on attack on gear (fireballs or ice spikes in these examples) which then are triggered left and right like there is no tomorrow.
I know there are more such suffix procs, at least aether missiles and doom bolt (and probably more). So I was wondering what it takes to make such a build work.
The proc is “on attack”, which means a lot of things actually, given that even Curse of Frailty is considered an attack.
This lead to me the following questions:
If we take a proc with multiple projectiles (like a deviltongue), does each separate projectile have a chanve to proc other shit “on attack”? Or are those 3 projs considered one attack and only one of them can proc stuff? In the case it’s latter I guess we’re still winning with 3 rolls on each proj proc, but would it be cool to proc 3 fireballs per attack, 1 per each proj.
What about DoT’s like Bloody Pox and Blackwater Cocktail?
Is each tick considered a separate attack? I would assume so, given that CoF triggers stuff too, but would like a confirmation.
What about Spectral Wrath? Can it things “on attack”?
Torrent (Primal strike line) and chain lightning for that sake. Do “bounces” have a chance to proc stuff, or only the initial hit?
Trying to comprehend what it takes to make such a build (except the gear “price” ofc), two things I have in mind are: use as many damage source as possible (in the examples above Aura of Censure and Might’s Chill are doing a lot of lifting I guess) and then stack the %dmg for the type and rr for the same type.
