Reap Spirit and Skeletons pet build

Hello

I’m actually playing and trying few builds together becouse of the new expansion.
I’ve seen few builds utilising reap spirit skill and they are usually pet builds.
But it seems that those type of builds completly abandons skeletal minions.
Is this not viable without any sort of support for it?
