Very cool mod compilation; it’s reinvigorated my desire to play Grim Dawn.
I’m curious about builds though, I’ve been experimenting with the Terror Knight, and I’m not quite sure what to cross-class with, especially given all the extra possibilities!
I’m tempted toward Champion, to make use of the bottom two rows buffs and Celestial Powers, mainly for the added retaliation/AoE clear in dealing with huge clumps of mobs, but I’m not sure if that’s really any better or worse than simply pumping points into the TK’s own AoE abilities. I don’t have too much experience with the mod yet, so I’m open to suggestions.
Yeah, as stated, I’ve read up a bit on it, and know that’s the general opinion. That’s ok, this is my first time playing back through GD in quite awhile, and I’m playing it more for fun and to get used to the mod than for a challenge.
I’m more curious about what may be considered fun, or interesting gameplay builds, rather than just “what will be the best way to afk clear my way through the game”.
Followup, I searched around, but didn’t see any changelog; is it intended that most items no longer have any attribute requirements?
I have level requirements, and a Staff/Spear weapons have spirit/cunning requirements, but so far I haven’t seen anything else with an attribute requirement during my playthrough.
I also get a lot of staff/spear drops, but I don’t know if that’s indicative of anything other than my own dumb luck.
I see what people mean by TK/Champ being overpowered. I’ve only just killed Krieg, but being able to essentially hold LMB and facetank his entire room was pretty eye opening.
I think my only complaint is how passive the playstyle is. I might roll a Nightblade or Soldier (2h w/ Arcanist?) and see what changes have been made to the core classes, if anyone has any build suggestions.
Really digging the compilation though, even just learning and understanding all the changes is proving to be a lot of entertainment.
I just now, for some reason, saw your previius post. I will release a minor bugfix update this weekend, the mod is a compilation of mods that are works in progress. And we will be here through the xpac for sure, continuing to improve each mod in the compilation.
