Quick like Depravities or actually quick?
Hey!
Just want to pop in and apologize for my earlier post.
While all the versions initially was a bit overwhelming, I, because of lack of sleep, seemed to skip the “Think for your self” step before posting.
Was pretty easy finding info I felt was missing. My bad.
Anyway, decided to go with v048 and go straight to Grimmest mode.
I was gonna make a dual wielding gun something, but spent like 1 hour looking trough all the masteries and settled on “Terror Knight” because that skill tree looks amazing =D
I have a bit of feedback from a lvl 14 Terror Knight, if you are interested.
First, I wanna say if this is by Design, it’s fine. I am in no way complaining as I have already adapted to this. Just an observation.
Blood Siphon and Gore seems to be very useful, if not OP, when you don’t really need it and close to useless when you do need it.
I can take on any group size so far, as long as I keep Blood Siphon up and with Gore proccing, sometimes I don’t even need Blood Siphon even for big groups.
But then when I am fighting Bosses, Elites or whatever, these 2 skills become close to useless.
Blood Siphon is not very effective when only draining very few enemies and the fear Proc of Gore doesn’t seem to work on Bosses and Elites.
So what I have is 2 very different power levels depending on what I am fighting. I am in no way knowledgeable about the game and its limitation but I would propose the following.
Nerf the fear of Gore, 10 meter Radius and a 1.3s fear on a 2 second recharge seems very strong with 2 points into it.
Nerf Blood Siphon, by giving it a maximum target limit and then buff the amount of leech it has on each target. That should balance out the 2 power levels a bit.
So far I am loving this mod. Great work!
Zenith masteries will be completely changed soon
I dunno about soon but yes ceno is reworking them

Thanks. Grimarillion is translated to Japanese by me and Shirasumi jointly. And as I wrote before, we introduce Grimarillion at Jp-Wiki and distribute the translation file.
Our wiki is very fulfilling, and if you can read Japanese you will be amazed at the amount of information.
And a direct link to the translation or the same wiki link as above?
Yes. This link is an explanation page of Grimarillion, in which the DL link of the translation file is listed. You will see the file “170420Grimarillion_048_jp.zip” in the middle of the page. If you click on that letter, the file can be downloaded instantly. This file is also updated when Grimarillion is updated.
I would like to add that I sense that Grimarillion is the way GD, for me, ought to be played. Great job, friends.
Now, with that said, I’m trying to determine how plausible some of the fights are. I decided to (foolishly?) roll a HC toon, because I find the risk more enjoyable.
However, I encountered the Warden; well, there were more than one of him (and 3 to 4 other bosses). Not only this, but when phase 2 of the fight began, even more bosses spawned!
I quickly cancelled out of the game to save my skin.
So – is this intended to be played successfully on HC? Has anyone done so?
Thanks!
It is very much possible, at least on normal. Kath has played several chars through elite on HC even. I suggest playing SC first to get a feel of things and to understand that many of the fights can be unpredictable.
Thanks for the warm reply. I’ll simply have to be amply prepared for it!
The trick is to keep moving
You may want to play on normal if it’s your first time through Grimarillion. Without knowing the Grimmest hot-spots, you could find yourself in trouble.
True – it may be useful for me to tone it during during Act boss fights. However, where’s the charm in that? (i.e., playing the mod only to tone down its difficulty seems ironic).
Part of the issue is that my current build doesn’t have a good way to heal itself outside of either a potion or a long cooldown, so I’m looking for alternative ways to ensure I can survive moments when I’m stunned or the like, which I think may be common during such events.
I’m an Earth/Dread Lord mix (I think those are the classes) and have mixed physic and cunning evenly.
Ok, its time to give some feedback for Kyzoggs/Shamblers fights on Ultimate Grimmest.
1)Kyzoggs fight was a total joke for a damage-setup in my Diviner (aetherfire on Trance of Wrath) - took 9-10 seconds to kill 3 Kyzoggs. With defensive-setup (Wendigo mark on Trance of Wrath) it take 6-7 more seconds to kill them.
2)Shamblers fight was the same as Kyzoggs, but took 2-3 more seconds in damage-setup and 5-6 more seconds in defensive setup.
Why damage setup took less time? Because ToW spawns aetherfire at insane rate, they’re overlapping very quickly bosses and heroes. If i use aetherfire on Vision of Death, even being a 38% chance on attack to spawn aetherfire - they dont appear so often as with ToW.
After death Kyzoggs didnt spawn any heroes
My Vitality/Aether Diviner is 79lvl, +8 skills to Spirit, +4 to Dream, all attribute points was spent in Spirit. Aether damage +1040%, Vitality +893%, Vitality Decay +843%. Spirit attribute is 1380 (total damage bonus +620%)
The whole feeling playing a Diviner - “Man, thats not Grim Dawn, thats Path of Exile! You just walk and monsters die in miliseconds, except heroes and bosses”
Hello world.
Dream mastery
Distortion Wave’s transmuter Ripple does not work.
Hello, actually, it does work
You need a staff or an offhand iirc
Okay thanks. Seems to be working now
