[REL] Grimarillion

Is it normal that epic items do not have any affixes and suffixes? I mean, maybe I’m just so unlucky in getting good loot, or they really lack them. If they do lack them, well, that’s sad, because they aren’t really more powerful than the magic and rare ones.

This is perfectly normal because it’s potentially hilariously overpowered. You have that in DAIL because DAIL is an unbalanced mess anyway, but this mod pack is meant to be as balanced as possible.

I understand the reason behind all this, but epic items aren’t called epic for nothing. I agree that it shouldn’t be as powerful as in DAIL, but it should be at least a bit more useful than it is now. For example, I got an epic rifle from a boss, equipped it, went back to the vendor and found out that he’s selling a simple magic rifle that is more powerful than the one which I got from the Boss. You know, this is quite saddening.

Epic are not supposed to have prefix or suffix anyway, it’s only the case in DAIL. Maybe some epics are underpowered, and in that case you should tell Ceno & adoomgod which one and why, but they are certainly don’t need any affix imo.

Oh well, I guess, maybe it’s just me getting a bit too used to the way DAIL works…

Still, it’s possible that some epics are underpowered. As I said, if you think an item is, just tell in the Cornucopia thread, Ceno & adoomgod manage the “vanilla” balance part.

Spears (and 2H) don’t support the ‘DoubleStrike’ animation so I intentionally did not allow them to work with the skill. Battery is meant to attack twice on every hit, and would be far too weak otherwise.

I can add a double strike animation just like I added a triple strike for volley.

Sure, toss it in and I’ll update the skill’s weapon configuration. You seem to be the only person in all of existence using Spears, so I shouldn’t expect any conflicts with other mods. :stuck_out_tongue:

The animation for spear attacks is kinda wonky. Wish I could import the tq ones or I knew someone who could make one…

I’m testing the Grimarilliony version. The purpose is : Less mobs, same quantity of heroes/bosses right?

i dont know how to intall this mod…or i do something wrong but i do it like it stands there. “grimarillion ~ World001.map”. i can see it so in my menu but it doenst work :confused: need help pls

When you downloaded the file (the latest is v0.1.5), did you extract the folder in the zip file and put that directly into your mod folder?

The folder that should have gone into your mod folder is the one labeled ‘grimarillion’ with no numbers. Put that into your mod folder in the directory where grim dawn is installed.

Create a new character and go, that’s it.

y has about zero features to report. Esstenially, it is Grimmest with the Grimmest ripped out. No idea what you might find in there, but if you are playing it, let me know what you see.

Same question for the outriders skills and the staves. The stave is not considered ranged weapon?

It is considered a staff

so a version without xmax is now available as well? I can’t tell from the front page thread which one that would be though.

Lots of class title bugs going on in my game.

Hunting/Nature = HuntingRogue??
Defense/Hunting was also not right, I forgot what it was.

There are also issues with the artifact recipes - but that is my fault (i think…). I will fix it and get back to you with the files.
