I really need help testing those items on all my lists. My life’s gotten a little busier and I have many things to do in GD. Including time consuming videos of stomping veteran
RE: Primal Instinct
I used Primal in quite a lot of hybrids (Pyro, etc), as they can add quite a bit to a melee or ranged character that wants to engage in battle. Even though hybrids are weaker than pure, you have the player attacks to keep the primals up to full compliment at most times.
It is one of the better relics for hybrids, even if hybrid builds seem to be looked down (I think they are fun and challenging).
But…
I was always disappointed that they give only +1 to Shaman skills= what is with this favored Shaman crap? Give it something that adds value to other classes, as well imho. I mean, instead of this +1 shaman …it does have already have some OA and physical. I’d say +1 to all skills…but that might be OP for pure pet builds. Dunno, maybe some %boosts to all damage for the player?
they are a little weak for HP survival, although they do have some starting physical/general resists (30/25%? ).
So…just my opinion for the variation of builds I ran.
Genuienly Curious, have you ever made a proper pet hybrid work in Crucible/SR?
I don’t think I have seen anyone do that. And all my attempts were hilarious failures.
No, no. Just MC (no SR). But was fun enough.
Ah. I have been trying to somehow recreate DaShiv’s old pyro
It works for MC (or did, haven’t tested in current patch), but SR and Cruci were nightmares.
I recently tried Impurity and Uroboruuk’s Reaping on a Drain Essence build (Defiler, but Apostate would be the same). They don’t offer enough to be picked over Serenity, even if you GD-stash the completion bonus.
It feels like there’s a gap in the relic lineup for Necromancer-based casters. The level 60 relic is weak-ish (probably not meant to be competitive), level 70 is pet-only, and level 90 grants a melee skill and modest stats. There’s arguably room for adjustment.

You have a point. In my PB Reaper used vitality relic, but meant for Oathkeeper-Meditation.
Aside from pet’s (can’t comment on dirge of arkovia), all other Necro relic is indeed quite bad.
Uroboruuk’s reaping is better because of its stats, the granted skill is actually bad. Well, honestly most of relic’s granted skill is in a bad state.

Scourge strike is one that immediately jumps to mind. Idk I use uros on a couple builds that do aether or vit and need the attack speed. Perhaps in increasing the roll there would be a good idea to make it more attractive.
Thanks guys. Now click those links in the OP to my other threads and comment there. I’ve been testing judgment of empyrion and finding it’s granted skill a bit weak at least for the builds I’d use the item on. Hard to test everything so when others test items after each patch it helps us out.
Good news is Bane vs Ignaffar’s is in a decent place now in terms of relics. I wonder if Bane was slightly over buffed but at least different builds will take each.
By the way how do you think fare the granted skills build? Scourge strike, Yugol, components and more importantly Obliteration?
Why nobody mentioned Bysmiel Domination here? This relic is 70th lvl but has no + mastery and gives no summon. True, proc is very good but Serenity, for example has both a save proc and +1 to all masteries!
+1 to all for BD is a bit more but +1 to Occultist would be nice and very thematic, I think.
I am happy you brought up Necrosis, on my BH DK I almost wanted to use it, but Uroboruuk’s Reaping was technically a better choice given it gave a okayish attack, adth, vit damage, and a +1 to necromancer. I think do think Necrosis needs something, personally im also not a fan of its ability not being a proc, but thats partly cuz im lazy and feel I have a crap ton enough buttons to press on my dk as is lol. and resistance on command sounds great, but its something that you need so much with vit builds, you would be casting it on cd all the time. Just feels tiresome and not a fun mechanic with it at that point. as for Agrivix’s Malice being better than Uroboruuks reaping, I would think a vit melee build (though rare) would say uroboruuks is probably the better choice out there. so changing it for that seems a bit… scary if it focus goes more the aether route and not vit.
Either way, Doom, you know I am NOT the most mechanically knowledgable in the game, so of course my thoughts are just based on a more lore focused players perspective who plays for fun and loves his 2 hand BH DK lol. I am sure plenty of others that have responded are bringing up much better and helpful points.
Haven’t gotten around to testing but uroboruuk is still ehhh. Unsure if its stats or ability should be a what gets improved at this point.
Stats is good. The granted skills is quite meh. Maybe make it to work in dual wielding and gun also?
I wonder if necrosis just had its RR bumped up 2% every patch eventually it’d find love somewhere.
It’s just weird because it’s a vitality relic that supports everything else. I wonder if it should be redesigned to be more generic. But either way you keep incrementing that RR up and eventually someone will love it.
maybe if they removed the damage type and instead focused on OA and crit, make it a very offensive relic at that point, I would even be fine if they changed the RR on the ability to a 2 hand only ability. We dont have many of those in game (kind of like primal strike restriction) and it would help give more appeal to using those type of builds. shrug I dunno man. but I do think it does need some love, its kind of just a very meh relic as is though.
Alrighty: 1.1.4.1 changes to relics:
Relic - Azrakaa’s Epoch: added Projectile Fumble to the skill proc
Relic - Primal Instinct: increased Health and Attack Rate on the summoned pets
Relic - Salvation: increased Health Regen to 60 and increased % Health Regen on the skill proc
Relic - Uroboruuk’s Reaping: increased Vitality Decay damage on the granted skill
I really would like to remove Azrakaa’s epoch, primal, salvation and uroboruuk’s reaping from the list. Maybe even salvation since hp regen got buffs elsewhere too. But I need you guys to test these changes. I will update the OP to reflect that. I have a good feeling about primal instinct and reaping at this point. And if Azraaka’s relic is still off I think it’s probably just a matter of the skill’s dmg. Fumble is a nice little defensive utility to it.
TLDR: KEEP GIVING THIS THREAD FEEDBACK COMMUNITY! I love you but let’s rock these items.
Edit: I’ve updated the above relic notes in the OP.
Further thoughts:
Oblivion, what the heck does it need?
I stand by the feedback on blademaster’s talisman and plunderer’s.
Would anyone be interested in making Vengeance a shield relic for inquisitor? Something to go with Serenir’s commendation? Change the proc to 25% on block, add block chance to the base relic, add fire retaliation?

tbh i really liked the oblivion spam idea, but it just doesnt pack enough punch to justify building around it. The energy adjustments for it helped, but it still probably needs more especially since it doesnt give any skills. IMO the damage might be workable if it gave +1 all… but idk
