Relic feedback thread

Imho, this would be more interesting as a proc or possibly a wps. It’s pretty hard to justify this over, say, Serenity…unless you don’t have Serenity. Or a few of the other vit relics such as the Occ +1 with procs…

Out of curiosity, what was the test build? I thought that Harbringer and Rah’zin might be ok for this to maximize the WD - but it might be a bit of an edge case where 2 sets fit together. (Not tested)

I basically slapped it on my obsidian juggernaut deceiver. Not perfectly optimized, but certainly within reason. Rah’Bringer would bring a bit more flat damage as well as a nuke from weapon damage doombolt. I think that might be workable… but I’m still skeptical. The energy drain will be pretty intense even after the change, and casting speed will suffer with Harb.

Oh i just noticed it is 65% weapon damage now. Whenever i tested it was only 50%… might have to look at it again.

Edit* for reference this is what i tested it with https://www.grimtools.com/calc/mN4YvYm2

I had briefly TC’d this Rah/Har combo but never went on to do anything with it Chaos oblivion spammer

Cast speed is a bit slow, but I was thinking that might not be a bad thing, since energy was tight. (But Rah has some regen…so maybe your are correct)

The obsidian spec has better damage for testing, though.

Honestly necrosis should be an Aura.

I use it on my Chaos builds because god forbid a chaos RR without casting, currently it + curse of fragility + solael’s symbol is such a piano combo yet gives pathetic reward (a total of -35% rr for all this casting, really!?) it hurts melee or EOR builds because it just disrupts your dps so much.

I might as well play a warlord who can afk and still get -60% physical reduction.

Also Azakraa’s epoch impaired aim is nearly useless. Not many ranged enemies in the game has dangerous auto attacks, and its only a pitful percentage. I’d still say even 5% RR would make the relic worthwhile.

If anyone think these changes would make them look OP just look at the amount of crap serenity and ignaffar’s combustion offers…

I wanted fumble too but here we are

Finally got around to trying out Primal Instinct. (On a Bleed Pet Conjurer to make use of their numbers to stack DoT)

Still not a fan of the Relic. Problem is that while the pets have low CD and higher HP now, they still spawn at your location and then need to travel over to the enemy and then attack. Also you need to keep them saturated. Hard to do in both Crucible and SR, but works for campaign.

I still want them to be immortal even if it comes with nerfs to their damage or duration or atleast with better base movement speed double their current health or better resistances. But maybe @Theuberelite or @sigatrev can offer their own opinions on this as I do build differently from them.

Relic - Salvation:

I tried using this relic yesterday in Avenger Warder.

As an impression, the disadvantage of losing +1 mastery is still greater than the performance.
My personal suggestion is to change the Proc skill to an active skill or remove instant recovery to further improve the health regen and make it a toggle skill.

And 60 Relic doesn’t have +1 Soldier. So I don’t think it’s unnatural to have a +1 Soldier on this relic.

Huh. That’s a pretty good suggestion dude. Compared to other class relics it’ll still be an obvious dps loss, but that would certainly make it decent. Veterancy soldier lol. Loving it.

Re: Primal Instinct, it’s a lot easier if you’re willing to super micro your pets. If you could, say, set them to roam freely while having pet attack work on all your other stuff, they’d be much better.

You can actually do this, but you have to hit Select All Pets key before issuing a command and often times theres a slight delay before that works. And the amount of hassle there is in that is … a lot.

The relic is honestly still alright, but Mogdrogen’s Ardor just wins out most of the time for me, especially because Aether RR is so prominent. I’d imagine the HP buff helped them but I haven’t logged in in a while, mostly because I’m busy with a bunch of stuff.

Primal Instinct is definitely fine as is.

Necrosis changes are very welcomed. I wanted to use it so bad previously on my vitality/bleeding conjurer but without the appropriate RR it just felt out of place.

The reason why I tagged you two is because recently I remade my bleed conjurer and Mog’s Ardor just like Uber said, won out for me too.

Do either of you consider Primal Instinct to be BiS for any particular build?

For me, Mog’s Ardor is the general go to
Bysmiel’s if I need a steroid
Dirge if I need an extra pet

Primal Instinct atleast in my hands fared worse than the 3 above. And considering it is a Bleed conjurer we are talking about (with plenty of flat bleed for DoT), I expected the numbers to show more than they did.

This thread have been abducted by pets

To stay on topic, after change Bane went from zero to hero.

Make necrosis into an aura and you can keep the %RR, seriously id rather have one less button to press for something like 10%RR.

I’d be fine with a necrosis aura similar to aura of censure. I don’t mind its current castable state though. I am more concerned with its performance.

Removed Uroboruuk’s reaping from the list. It’s not quite as good as I hoped it’d get buffed to, but it’s certainly good enough.

Im glad we found common ground on this. Make it an aura would be very unique i think as i dont think many relic does RR auras.

RR aura would be very useful for a relic that offers no +skill benefit, since it can be experimented with many different types of build. Name it as something like “Decaying aura.” Perfect for its theme.

Now just add that 5% RR to Azraka’s tornado and thats another relic off the list  It is currently competing with DeathStalker for pets but deathstalker is blantly better with 10% rr on bleed physical and poison. Having the tornados provide minor RR would keep its benefits without making Deathstalker obsolete.

Ive tested Oleron relic and its pretty terrible with the passive. First is on a 2 second timer for an endgame relic, and the damage on it is very low compared to something like doom. The proc could be like a mini blindfury really so i suggest shorten it to 1-1.5 second, prc on crit and up the %weapon damage to 30-40% region. Usually relic of this level has a proc thats like a tier 1 devotion but currently Oleron’s proc is no wear near something like bullrush.

From your implication it sounds like increasing the damage by around 33% - 100% would do the trick as well though.

Going back to Azraaka, it still feels underwhelming. The buff for pierce builds was negligible because virtually every pierce build has Sands which cover impaired aim very well.
I’ll just repeat my suggestion to add adcth to it. That way it would be a good mapclear+sustain relic, good enough to give up +skills on some builds.

Yup, I’ve brought it up with the playtesters as well. This might just be one of those things we have the bang on for a while before Zantai takes a bigger look at it. The GD team is a bit occupied with making 1.1.5 great, new dungeon, epic items and rare affix overview etc. so understandably I get that his plate is a bit full atm.

Adcth. Reduced enemy physical damage. More damage on the relic ability. Lots of possibilities for improvement that wouldn’t make it homogenized with other choices.

TLDR: I agree, Azraaka still underwhelms, sucks even given the multitude of better options. I also failed to consider how ring of steel sort of provides that impaired aim for those pierce builds, good point.

It doesn’t.
