Saves and DLC access gone after hotfix

As of todays Hotfix, I can no longer access any of the DLC content, nor my saves.

Steam version, Linux. Was playing a reaper, well into Fangs 15 minutes prior to the hotfix.

To be clear, we do not officially support Linux, but other users found a workaround:

Worked around this by going into the game settings on steam → Compatibility → change the proton version from 9 to “hotfix” version
(This was not necessary for the 1.3.0.0 release)

Mighty appreciated, I was able to figure out my issue based on some feedback in there. Did a little bit of testing and hopefully can help someone else should they encounter a similar issue.

Great work on the game, 1000 hours in(all on Linux) and this is the first game breaking issue I’ve run into. So kudos to you and the team.

I have the same issue. After the hotfix my saves and DLC are no longer accessible. I am on Linux (CachyOS).

200hrs in and this is the first game breaking bug.

Your fix is right above.

Sadly not, game crashes with Proton Experimental (I believe it never worked for me with Experimental, that’s why I used GE-Proton 8-26 and 8-32).

Cannot launch the game after v1.3.0.1 hotfix on Linux

This was the fix for me. For anyone curious I was able to get the game running, with all my saves using any of the following: Proton v11.1, v11.2, and v11.3 Proton-GE Cachyos-proton v11.1, v11.2, and v11.3 Was not able to run with: v10.32, v10.33, or v10.34 9.0 Any version not listed I did not test.
