“Curved” walls are looking pretty good!
Crate has admitted to the fact that their code allows buildings to be spun on their center axis, but that they chose not to give players that option.
Leaving us with only the 90-degree Tab option.
That makes grids almost impossible to avoid, and such works as yours the stuff of rarity, rather than the norm.
I have a feeling it is because buildings are subject to leaning awkwardly when the terrain tool is used nearby and spinning them on an axis may exaggerate that lean to an extreme.
Very nice. Do you have the seed for that?

Grids are not “almost impossible to avoid”. It requires some creativity to avoid the rigid square look, sure, but that would be the case even if there wasn’t a grid. The idea that it’s the hardest thing ever and rare is just not true. People just lack imagination.
Creativity, patience, forbearance, fortitude, experience and desire all play a part.
But square pegs, a strict 90-degree rotation option and straight lines, all lead most of us by the nose to grids.
Talent like yours, isn’t common.
I can confirm that. Never use grids ![]()
Still, would be nice to place buildings in different angles. But, who nows, maybe it’s yet to come. For now, at least, we can rejoice about these terrific new “curvy” walls ![]()
I foresee a problem with these new walls.
When a wall is at an angle, it presents a wider/longer face to the enemy, but will retain only x amount of strength.
This means more enemies can attack any single piece of wall at angle and bring it down much sooner.
Angled walls will, by physics alone, be subject to greater damage and quicker failure than straight walls.
Very happy with my current ~1700 man city, food is being worked on, upgrading barns takes a while before they are producing meat again.
Thanks to the new 45 degree angled wall building feature, I can now create some of the designs I’ve always wanted to achieve.
Now, we just need buildings to have the ability.
This diamond-shaped arrangement is very beautiful!
First time playing Vanquisher, Idyllic Valley, very stable city and my goods section looks like this atm. Feels awesome. Around ~500 pop and have handled catapults just a while back. Lets find out what happens when scaling up.
Edit; nice.

I got a map with land extending into water. Part of the map is blocked off from the water. Random Large map seed 2F23CA264DA
