they sense it, that does not mean they are influenced by it. I always saw this more as a sense it like a coming storm, not an actual influence on them
Who are the ‘capricious false gods’? Are they stronger than Mog/The 3 WG?
the witchgods are the false gods
Mog doesn’t believe the mortal’s rumor about Empyrion’s return. But he sense something familiar from this ‘Empyrion’ (Maybe this being contains part of Empyrion?)
I interpret this as he is familiar with it / encountered it before, not that it has anything to do with Empyrion at all
AFAIK witch gods are ascendants. If they aren’t “true” gods, neither is Mogdrogen. I guess he is just jelly some mortals got to godhood by themselves, instead of being created by primordials to participate in their wars.
IIRC, It’s mentioned that Mogdrogen used to be a titan, which means he was some kind of lesser god of some sort until he ascended somehow. His contempt toward the witch gods seems to come from the fact that they were just mortals that took advantage of a power far greater than them to ascend to godhood.
So there are at least three kinds of godlike beings in GD world:
-True gods (like Empyrion, Chthon, etc)
-Titans created by true gods (Mogdrogen, some titan in new FG devotion constellation, etc)
-False gods/ascendants (The Three WG, Uroboruuk, Ulgrim, The Taken?, Creed?)
Also, what is the GD equivalent of Heaven? The Void is the equivalent of Hell in GD. I’m not sure the aether and eldritch dimension can fit into those two definitions. The aetherials are kinda described as the equivalent of angels though, since they called themselves servant of the old gods…
The characters we talked to in GD world doesn’t seem to keen to discuss about afterlife in GD…
Well there are primordial gods and other gods. And they have servants that are celestial beings. As for Titans, so far they only mention of Mogdrogen and Ulzaad. I suppose they posses a formidable amount of power.
The Devotion constellation Scales of Ulcama does speak of heaven. How that looks or works is unknown. We know people that passed away are brought back to the world.
We can’t know everything some things need to be mysterious
Has it ever been mentioned who the god affiliated with Aether is? Or is it possible to see this from the constellations? Chthon is for chaos. But who is for Aether?
T3 constellation for aether is only spear of the heavens and attak seru. So maybe attak seru, although I don’t know how her connection to the class and item lore as she never be mentioned by anything.
Regarding aether, I am always find it confusing why uroboruuk set’s main damage is aether. I think it should only be vitality as his connection to aether is never be mentioned by any lore in the game.
Reincarnation? that would spell doom for all men in GD, since this game happens on the event where godlike and otherworldly beings steamrolling cairn.
Mysteries are good to add suspense and additional content opportunities. I just wish that some npc’s or notes talk more about GD afterlife. Probably only scales of Ulcama that mentions GD’s heaven.
Necromancer powers are respectively focused on aether, vitality/vitality decay, poison, cold, and some bleed/physical damage.
There was a misadventure? Nice. I was not expecting one until friday.
Though, apart from showing the new celestial powers, nothing new here really, we have seen these constellations in streams before.
Korvaak’s power being petrification is interesting. Maybe he is a god of earth and stone then?
Yugol is an odd one, I mean he existed before Ch’thon then? He looks a lot like the Ch’thonian Unravelers, like the one Karroz turns into. Maybe after his “death”, Ch’thon subsumed Yugol and all these fiends are really his creations, commanded by a new master?
I do wonder what damage types these skills give.
One thing I have been wondering now while planning my twohander/lightning Warder build and checking the constellations - given the lightning spells his avatar can do and the bonuses and skills his spaulders give, is it possible that Mogdrogen, being a titan aka a creation of the gods for the war, was the creation aka “son” of Ultos, hence why he has some lightning related powers aside his nature/wild animal affinity?
The lightning damage may as well come from Empyrion, since Mog’s constellation specifically says he was created during the War of the Gods, aka team Empyrion vs. team Ch’ton.
The relation between Arkovian gods and the primordial ones is unknown afaik.
There is overlap between Ultos and Mogrogen on two-handers because Shaman has lots of lightning and bleeding bonuses.
Btw, Korvaak’s constellation has two pairs of eyes, what could it possibly mean???
the bottom pair shows angry eyes.
the top pair shows contemplative/sorrowful/i don’t care eyes
It could be that Korvaak is two contradicting entities in one body, or Korvaak suffers from multiple personalities disorder/bipolar tendency, or it’s just appearance.
I suspect that it’s just appearance, but things like this make me wonder if Korvaak is related to Ulzuin somehow. That Mogdrogen note mentions a “mighty blaze” too.
