The Carnival - A Guide to Pets

That build is the guide

Yeah good luck with Reap Spirits. I use them when maxed out, but never well. I think they were meant to be a player weapon or something. Okay as dev proc I guess.
I’m curious roughly how much time you have left on clock at the end of a 36? Also wondering why 2 devotions in pet health when using Unstable Anomaly? Thanks in advance.

@Maya 4 mini-nurgles + 3 :ghost: is ok, just less tanky:

Rabaguer

Bat

SR40

I was asking Maya because “wondering why 2 devotions in pet health when using Unstable Anomaly”. Since she is not using skele’s I thought she knows something. Perhaps they are for player health?
Sry GSAsylum I can’t tell anything from vids, but ty for the efforts. I know time remaining is not traditional, but it only takes a second to look and it really helps me understand. If you (Maya) can’t np. Never tried that build and was interested. I have a few acid and vit Unstable Anomaly builds that are okay, but very different.

It’s not “not traditional”, it’s a delusional way to measure performance.

So why not open GS’ video and look then

I wanted to learn from someone who knows something, but she no doubt wants to avoid the wrath of the regulars.
I wish mods would do some cleaning.

So you will do anything but watch that “time remaining” on GS’ video, including changing the topic to your conspiracy theories. Well let me help then, you were asking how much time was remaining:

9:16, whatever it means, but it should mean a lot in your world where builds are measured by that. Now I guess it means you were totally wrong here

But oh well, not your first time

Not the same build and… more stuff.

Sorry, but I dont pay attention to the time left since I never tend to get the same value in multiple runs.

You need to be more specific, which 2 devotions?

 I was busy with IRL stuff, hence the late reply.

Thank for the reply. I went ahead and built a version of your no skele idea. I posted it in my thread, but it didn’t make the main list.

I did learn you can give dps a big boost by holding RC to keep Fiends summoned. Too bad it doesn’t work with Hellhound.

I knew the time would be inaccurate, but thought it might give me a rough idea if I should build one. My time is never more than ±15 seconds between runs. I assume yours is similar and since 36 is commonly run for the best loot, I thought you might recall off hand.

I’m sure mad_lee’s build was just fine, but I was interested in yours plus it’s your thread.

Does Behemoth and Tree of Life (mob health) add to Fiends death weapon? I might be thinking of another game.

Nice build and ty.

Behemoth and Tree are for keeping the player alive. While they do help heal pets, that is mostly just a bonus.

And no, they dont add to pet damage.

Yea, I believe it was Dungeon Siege where health increased death damage of pets. Would be a nice addition to GD.

Hey @Maya
I found a build in my bookmarks, I thought it was your but it’s not on the list.
So maybe I found it somewhere in the comments, or maybe it’s not yours at all, in which case I apologize for confusion.

However, it’s meant to be a summoner with no summon class, namely a Battlemage.
Here’s the link:

One question I have is: the weapon summons Black Scourge on attack. I wonder would PRM count as attack in this case, or would I need to actually use my default attack to summon things, and only use PRM and TSS for devo procs?

anything “offensive” you do towards enemy is considered an attack, even a 0dmg debuff like curse of frailty, - so yes prm would very much count (slap a point in second node for potential passthrough if you wanna maximize proc potential on prm)
*side note Menhir’s Will does not work without a shield or 2h melee weap

Thanks so much!
Sounds like 10 free points for me from MW into something.
Will probably take War Cry.

I was also wondering what the benefit from Oleron’s Rage here?
Proccing devo is one thing, but 12 points?

no clue looks strange to me, there are no offensive devos to proc, so possibly to trigger ghol gloves spiderlings getting oa into crit range?

OA so you can get spiders from the gloves.

It was during a time when I was doing random pet builds without pet classes thing and is meant to be a meme rather than a functional build and is rather outdated at this point . This was the final result - The Fat Fwuffy - Classless Pet Build

As Gnomish said, Menhir’s Will is useless in the build. I wasnt paying attention at the time…

Oleron’s rage is indeed for the OA to get spiders out

Well, a meme is a meme, but 24k HP 3300 DA looks decent enough to try out (:
Planning to play in multiplayer with 2 other people, so I’ll at least be useful as a Field Command and IEE aura bot

P.S. Is it that outdated?
I mean, judging by grimtools, looks quite functional to me.
Probably not top21 material, but still fine to run some totems and maybe even SR 26-27.

At the minimum, you want to go for a different belt since the one in the build converts pet damage into physical while the setup is going for elemental pets.

The rest should be fine I think…
