The Fluffy Squishy - Pet Conjurer :3

Hello there Maya,

Thanks again for your awesome builds. Currently running this one. What do you think of exchanging Stormbringer of Malmouth for Gate to Many Worlds ? Asking the expert, was just wondering why you chose it !

Have a nice day guys

Funny thing, I used to have Gate in the build initially, but swapped over to Stormbringer for more DPS.

Stormbringer helps convert the flat Chaos from Hellfire (hellhound aura) to Lightning while Mogdrogen’s shoulders convert the flat Fire damage from Hellfire and also. Combine that with the fact that Familiars are our main DPS pets and do almost exclusively Lightning damage, the %bonus damage to pet lightning from Stormbringer also helps a ton in boosting the overall DPS of the build.

Gate does provide additional Pets, but said pets dont benefit from things like attack speed, so overall become rather lackluster :frowning:

Any significant changes this patch? Seems live we;ve been more or less much untouched last couple patches.

Just the set piece damage bonus for Bysmiel’s set was nerfed

Hi Maya!

Coming back to the game after a long break, and as always, you’re my go-to for pet builds, which are my absolute favorite. I’m already enjoying the heck out of this. Thank you for keeping them up to date!

I have one question about your recommended leveling guide. You state to get the Briarthorne early, but don’t show any points allocated for it as part of the progression/leveling. Is that an old note that I should ignore, or when should that be incorporated as part of the skill allotments?

Thank you for taking a look!

Thinking about it, I imagine you mean to allot the points to max out Briarthorn ASAP, then resume the recommended Occultist path. Which is what I’m planning to do, but I wanted to double check all the same

The leveling guide is for leveling a single mastery, so that you can use it for leveling Occultist + any other mastery.

To answer your question though, you’re on the right track:

  • Max out base Familiar
  • Max out base Hellhound
  • Switch to Shaman and max out base Briarthorn
  • The above three will carry you for a really long time
  • Switch back to Occultist and keep putting points into it until higher levels, when you’ll go back and add more points into Shaman

That makes sense. Thank you for taking the time and laying it out!

Nothing that really makes any actual difference thankfully

Sorry for the delayed reply, but as @Yarik85 said, the leveling section was made for single mastery leveling so that you could use it for any class combination that uses Occultist.

You can even skip out on the Briarthorn and do completely fine, but yes the order would be -

No worries at all. Thank you for taking the time to confirm!

I always love how chill and strong your pet builds are. I’m only at lvl 27, but I can’t wait to start getting to the later/harder content with this.

Wishing you a great day ahead!

Completely different subject: The shoulders that you have now for Fluffy are Mogdrogen’s. If you were to SSF level this build in HC (which I have - a few times with other iterations) what shoulders would you use in order to GET the Mogdrogen? Assume we have all of the other items needed with possible exception of one or two of belt, pants, chest.

Mythical Fiendflesh Mantle / Mythical Mantle of the Patron / Elite Wendigo Spellweaver Spaulders / Zantarin’s Mantle

OR… good old Mythical Beastcaller, ideally 3 pieces - Chest, Shoulder + Helm (already in use)

I no longer favour Beastcaller outside of the helm, as much as I used to in the past - since we are not going for a Briarthorn Bleed/Physical build. But it remains a solid option when there is nothing better to choose from.

It certainly did go off topic. Stick to this build or use the new thread to talk about skellies.

Can you post the grimtool link of your ritualist? now i’m curious

Which one? Maya’s?

oh sorry no i was asking to the guy that was answering to Maya in the Skeleton Discussion topic, guess i put the question in the wrong one

Mantle of the Patron worked nicely. Thanks!! I am curious what Mantle of the Patron would look like if Ascended. Hopefully it along with other pet blue items will be Ascendable (if that is even a word). There are indeed some nice blue pet items. Again thanks.

Hi Maya, I just want to thank you again, really enjoy this build, killed all the super bosses (only have issue with Ravager of mids, that guy hits hard, needs to kite around), SR 35 no issue so far, will see how far I can push. Hope they can make Skeleton pet build great again, the only reason I bought the game was because of the Skeleton pet build.
