Skeletons are great right now. I wouldn’t expect much change in the near future. Skeletons are the fastest pets for leveling and farming gear, all the way to SR40, even in HC.
I understand that the FOA expansion will allow for some sort of player involvement into what types of skellies are summoned.
Are you talking about this setup?
After 38, oh man, you have to be very careful, you’ll get one shot. Those narrow maps plus nemesis, oh man, watch out.
That looks like my Skulls & Bones - Pet Ritualist
If so, then no. I havent been able to make Skeletons work to my liking in the current patch.
@ContragorX seems to have a private Skeleton build that he does not want to share on the forums due to concerns over it potentially getting nerfed. Perhaps you can ask him to message you the details.
Hmm…
Cally Facetank is back again… weird build, but… the player now able to facetank sunder may make it worth it…
Did I mention that pets are now immortal too ![]()
Hey there!
Working towards this build.
I noticed that the current version is slightly different from the GT snapshot a couple weeks ago.
Most notably, it used to be Bismiel dagger and Malmouth book, and now it’s scepter + shield, with corresponding readjustments to skill points and devotions.
Seeing your update comment in this thread I understand that the new setup is probably way tankier than the previous one (I assume if you can facetank Cally than you can facetank anything in this game).
Would it be correct to assume the old setup is better for clearing SR?
That facetanking capability must have come with a tradeoff.
Well… Crate and even Mogdrogen in some cases can still kill you if you try full facetank on those since they are not based on physical damage ![]()
Probably also Ravager of Minds with its Nullification.
But yes, outside of those you can semi afk and not die ![]()
Not sure to be perfectly honest…
Can still find the previous one here - The Fluffy Squishy - Pet Conjurer :3 - #2 by Maya
Build Changed even further!
.
.
So… taking nearly 15 minutes to kill mogdrogen these days, even for a pet build aiming for “immortality” is just… sad.
At the same time, I didnt want to give up tankiness chasing DPS…
Then I realized I have been away from this game for so long that I forgot even the basic fundamentals…
Mend Flesh SUCKS!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, removing points from Mend Flesh entirely was pretty much all it took to take mogdrogen kill time all the way down to 4:00 - 4:30 minutes instead.
Regarding the healing loss, maxed out Totem along with the Damage Reduction from Hellhound’s Infernal Breath made the build even tankier than before…
TL;DR - Build is now tankier and has more damage.

EDIT :- SR 50 done
.
Moosi and Anasteria (shattered outcast) were a royal pain in the butt, but very much doable.
Bonus screen of facetanking Iron Maiden -
Not Shown - around a billion deaths and half a day spent on resetting SR to get favourable layouts + bosses and actually killing stuff at a snail’s pace.
@Maya Wow, SR 50, that is very nice. I’ll try the new build this weekend, and hopefully I have all the gear. If I don’t have all the required gear, I will come back and ask for your save file if you don’t mind.
Thanks ![]()
@Maya , can I ask for the new, updated save file? I have to try it out!

I have an interesting question. Ground Slam can hit Callagadra several times, as its large size.
One projectile is 100 * (1 - 75%) = 25 taunt/threat. So, can multi projectiles stack their taunt/threat? Then taunt Callagadra in just one Ground Slam. ![]()
Hm… always thought multiple projectiles counted as a single instance for threat generation in such cases. Not sure how it actually works to be honest ![]()
Sent the latest save via message ![]()
Note - is test file and will mess up achievements and such.
Hello - is the lack of pet elemental resistance on this build of any concern?
kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiind of…
It only really becomes an issue for Briar and Hound and only really against Mogdrogen and also part of the reason why Mog kill is slower than others (the other reason being lightning focus pet build and moggy having high lightning res)
But, Birbs dont care ![]()
Yeah - in SR 27 boss room Moosi took out the Briar and actually one of the birds. Player never in danger but pets did have to be resummonned. Something else got the Briar before that in one of the shards - don’t exactly remember what it was. Probably bad navigating on my part…
Moosi has another issue other than pet ele res - pet freeze resistance.
Anything getting caught by the freeze will just sit there eating face full of his other stuff, sadly ![]()
But while we are on this topic, an easy solution is to use Bysmiel’s Mindweaver for anything that doesnt require the extra Wendigo Totem from M.Soulbearer. The pet elemental res from that + the 30 from Birb Aura should be enough for SR farming and also more DPS.
Hey I’m level 100 and I’ve been following this build. Pretty good.
I wonder though, are all these items best in slot? Could anything be replaced for any fantasy MIs for example?
Also, why Armor of Azragor instead of Elite Bysmiel Stormshroud? Seems like the latter would be better but I’m probably missing something.
hm… you could go for something like this - Conjurer, Level 100 (GD 1.2.1.6) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator (any pet affix on the pants and belt would be good tbh, doesnt need to be those exact ones)
Regarding Armor of Azragor - the aura effect also affects your pets. The flat damage from that gets fully converted + the player also gets a bit of extra physical resistance (we want as much physical resistance as possible for the player since this is facetank build).
