thanks for all your work and keeping this thread updated! after 1.5k hours in GD I’m finally playing a conjurer and naturally stumbled over your build.
I have a question re primal spirit. why not put 1 point in it just to add another pet? will the 1pt in it not be better spent than 1pt in, say, heart of wild?
Regarding Primal Spirit, mostly personal preference. I like to minimize button presses and while even at a single point, an extra pet is still going to add more overall damage to the build, I am simply too lazy for it
Hey I love your build and it has been awesome to play it while listening to horror podcasts!
I was able to get exactly the version you had in 1.2.1.3:
I have been able to clear all the content in the game even after the update to 1.2.1.6
I wanted to ask if it is worth updating the build to version 1.2.1.6 from 1.2.1.3 as it seems the slightly older version is able to do all the content still really fast.
I have been able to do SR 36-37, all celestials (Crate, Calla, Ravager, etc) fast (and I do mean it is very fast. Calla kill is still probs less than 2 mins I think).
So I guess I am trying to ask how much improvement are we getting from build 1.2.1.3 to 1.2.1.6?
As the amount of items changed is a decent amount is the performance increase for the newer build really (really might be subjective word in this case tho) good.
Hm… the newest version is basically the older one made Lazier.
So, if you are enjoying the older version of the build then no real reason to update to the current one. It was mostly made so that I would have enough tankiness to facetank various things including Celestials and stuff in deeper SR levels
The current build is actually less DPS than the older one as well (in return, is much more tanky).
I will stick with the 1.2.1.3 version until it stops being lazy and then come back to your guide again in the future (probs for FOA hopefully! This build is what I am going to use first for FOA).
As always thank you for keeping the guide up to date! I am brain dead when it comes to making builds.
Comparing this to my previous characters 1) purifier: drop down inq seal, stand and hold down right click while the gun goes brrrrr and 2) trickester: smash SS, ABB and RoS regardless at the same time.
The Cojurer gameplay felt anything but lazy with all the applications of CoF and strategic placements of totems while maneuvering around the enemies.
Granted I didn’t finish the build (ripped on HC in SR because nullification) so maybe there was a power spike ahead.
Overall, this didn’t feel lazy to me at all (but yeah, HC makes the different feeling).
I wonder if it’s the difference in out perception of “lazy” or I really didn’t reach the point of turning it into the walking simulator.
P.S. still thoroughly enjoyed the build, the older 1.2.1.3 version even without getting the full gear.
Hey @Maya , I have question regarding the older setup.
Playing this again (as SSF so currently not yet all the pieces are there).
I have the intended pants from the planner, but I also recently got this:
What do you think of it?
Looks good to me, especially the Manipulation bonus.
But also mog pact and Storm Spirit are a nice touch.
And they have %OA for pets which sounds like a good deal.
I’d like to hear your thoughts on why did you choose Wildshorn instead.
They seem to benefit Hellhound most, and we’re relying on the birb for dps, so I’d think that manipulation wins.
Another thing for Wildshorn is that Reduced Freeze Duration which is sweet, but…
Been playing with this one for a while and wanted to bring up the belt discussion again.
It seemed Voidmancer’s was being suggested over Shadowfiend’s lately? But maybe puppetmaster’s could still be best?
In the picture attached I’m kinda between Void (for the lightning bonus) or Puppetmasters (for various reasons).
Unless the Pierce/Vitality on the Shadowfiend is that important? More than Physical (and stun/freeze)?
Any guidance appreciated? And should be looking for something different in a Puppetmaster roll…? (that one seems pretty nice… but I just tonight rolled a bunch)
Sorry for the late reply, with the holidays and new years and stuff, been busy irl
Puppetmaster can be used, yes. The reason why I don’t have it in the build is because how good it is, depends on the affixes. We have plenty of vitality/pierce res for pets to make do even with the swap to puppetmaster belt, so no issues there
You can use the puppermaster one you have on the screenshot, but the best possible version would be one with 2 pet affixes, though it will be rare to actually find.
Crafting use the entire pool without bias and priority , however if you get one pet affix you can reroll the other with essences so FoA brings some QoL in this regard
Thanks. Just realized it will be similar to the league in that you can lock in the ‘good’ affix and reroll the ‘bad’ one. Sounds like those essences that allow you to do this will be the new ugdenblooms of FOA.
Yep , reroll essences are inspired by the league ,just the containers and corruptions are consider too op so won’t be implemented but affix reroll and Implicits rerolls will be there and this is huge
I’m still rocking the double lightning birbs from like 2020, seems to be strong still, but all I’ve been doing is farming Bastion of Chaos (sharzul worldeater plz drop…).
First of all, welcome to the forums and apologies for the late reply
As for the build, yes the changes are pretty big since this one is more facetank focused while my previous build should have been DPS oriented if I remember correctly.
Most importantly, check the belt you are using atm. If it is Nosferattis then you will need to change it since it has elemental to physical damage conversion for pets now. Other than that, everything else should still be more or less useable without any changes.
I’ll take a look at the belt, thanks for the heads up. Sounds like I do need to just update the whole thing. It’s great that you’re still updating it years later.
Im trying to get updated on what’s changed and what’s good/bad nowadays, would you say melee, or rather auto attack builds in general, are doing good right now?
