The Fluffy Squishy - Pet Conjurer :3

Start a new session and click on the tree stump before entering the waterfall. That turns the boss into the uber version. You can’t fight both the non uber and uber version in the same session.

:open_mouth: That is a super fast kill. I am curious what is allowing them to tank that flesh sphere thing. They barely seem to take any damage from it while it 1 shots me

btw not sure if im hijacking the post, any tips on gdstashing a new char to max n unlocking most of the key secret quests ? the conjuror is lv 94 but i prolly wana make the cabalist and a few other chars in the future just to play in SR n max lvl areas :stuck_out_tongue:

yea thats why im not sure if it was edited/ using some other 3rd party app :stuck_out_tongue: but he did some vire might looking skill dash , not sure if it blocked the boss skills or something, the beaver dont appear to be doing much

Yeah, that feels edited…

The boss is not using his blood pool and the frequency of the water waves is too low.

I use other people’s save file with everything already unlocked

i can read, so this is the build Conjurer, Level 100 (GD 1.3.0.0) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator, i think it is same as from here [1.3.0.3 ] HC - Classic Beastcaller Set Fire Pet Conjurer - #30 by Noksion

Translated from Chinese to ENG using Copilot lol

After defeating the Beaver God for the first time, return to Beaver Crossing. In front of the boss room entrance, you’ll find a Beaver God statue. Interacting with it unlocks the Beaver God’s “Super Pro Max” mode.

From a design perspective, this celestial boss is noticeably different from previous ones. The Crate boss is largely a mechanic check, Sand is more of a stat check, and Ravager sits somewhere in between, requiring constant movement around totems. The Beaver God, however, is essentially a stat check that forces players to actively dodge mechanics. The same philosophy can be seen in the main storyline boss Beronath, where players are expected to avoid attacks through movement. This has become a common design approach in modern ARPGs.

Due to pet AI, summoner builds handle this fight quite easily. For conventional builds, however, dodging mechanics is absolutely essential.

Ground-Splitting Ice Burst

The boss launches 12 ice fissures across a 180-degree arc in front of it. After 1.2 seconds, the fissures explode, dealing roughly three times their initial damage.

This attack must be avoided. The explosion can instantly kill a Briarthorn with 110,000 HP and 66% Physical Resistance. Simply dodge or blink behind the boss.

Tail Poison Spray (4-hit Combo)

This attack has a very obvious vulnerability/debuff effect. Stay out of its path.

In theory, this is the boss’s highest burst-damage ability, with a pre-mitigation total of around 300,000 damage, including 100,000 physical damage. However, it didn’t appear particularly threatening in the video, possibly because taunt effects or some other mechanic interrupted the animation before all four hits could land.

Vomit

The boss spits out a large pool of toxic blood that continuously damages enemies standing inside while also reducing their OA by 1,950.

Just avoid fighting inside the affected area.

The first three abilities are mandatory dodges. The next two can be dodged depending on the situation.

Meteor

The boss sacrifices a beaver to summon a massive meteor from the sky.

It’s recommended to dodge this attack. Don’t use my video as an example, I only tanked it repeatedly because it was my first encounter and I wasn’t familiar with the fight.

The meteor inflicts a 5-second stun (reduced to 1 second with 80% stun resistance). For most builds, being stunned and then hit by a regular attack is enough to get killed. Tankier builds may be able to survive.

Flood

The boss summons up to four waves of floodwater that deal damage and reduce DA by 1,950.

The floods move very slowly, so simply move to the side. If you get hit, kite the boss until the DA reduction expires.

As long as you successfully avoid the abilities listed above, the fight is actually less stressful than the Sand Celestial in terms of survivability. It’s recommended to invest in some additional health and armor.

So, for the first build (the one with dreeg eye), my best run got him about half hp. it took me about 6-7 minutes and then I died a little bit after that. (I keep running down when he’s offscreen and eating a one-shot. I really need to stop doing that. oops)

Maybe a better pilot than me can get further (and quicker), but that’s where I’m at with the first build. I’ll keep trying later, but for now I’m going to take a break.

I haven’t tried the second one yet (the cabalist) or the third (the one without the birb) on uber yet.
Thanks again for letting me test your builds! This has been a lot of fun!

Aghhh, so close! lol
Suffice it to say I’m having a lot more luck with your third build (the one without the birb)

(though, I think that is mostly because of my lack of skill. I use a controller and am pretty terrible at aiming. First build uses two attacks that are frontal line AOEs which I am terrible at landing consistently.)

Here are the suggestions I recommend; I killed him with and without altars. Also, just be patient lol, but use the Maya Nugle Bath bombs build, an awesome build by Maya!

  1. Recommend setting the game speed back to normal (I usually play in 1.5 speed). After game speed is set to normal, as soon as you see his arms up, look out for Meteor; kite him out of blood poor and don’t stand in front of him
  2. I use GrimCam, set max distance to 55, make it easier to see waves so I can avoid getting hit; also don’t stand against the walls/eges, because you don’t know where the waves are coming out.
  3. Just keep killing, sum pets, kit, and avoid getting hit and stay alive lol

Thank you for the tips!

EDIT: removed the whining. Sorry again about this.
Low self-esteem + anxiety is an annoying mix. 0/10. do not recommend.
Thank you for being so patient with me.

I don’t have the gear for the carbalist, so not sure about that one, but it’s probably best that someone who is better at the game than me tries it.

Thank you again for letting me try your builds, maya! Sorry that I couldn’t do more. Good luck, everyone!

Hello guys, I’m leveling slowly as my pet dies a lots. Any tips? I’m level 30 atm.

Btw, does pet in this game snapshot? Like, I’ve put some skill points and/or equip new gear, do I need to re-summon all of them?

Thanks in advance.

Hm, the pets shouldn’t be dying all that much. Especially the raven and the briarthorn.
Sure, occasionally they’ll get bursted down by a big group, boss, or worse, deathpools on the ground, but that’s life.
While it’s hard to say what the cause might be without seeing your character’s grimtools link, one thing you can do is grab Mend Flesh for your raven, so that he heals your other pets once in a while.

As for snapshotting:
For the most part, no, there is no snapshotting. That is, if the number of skill points for your pet or it’s supporting skills changes (up or down), the pet gets despawned, and you have to summon it again.
That said, I do feel that once in a while when I equip a piece of gear with +skill to pet skills, the pets do not get despawned. But I have no scientific proof of that. Just to be on the safe side, i re-summon them anyways.

Sometimes when I’m swapping equipment around I’ve noticed that my pets de-spawned automatically, but it’s not always a sure thing.

That being said, when adding skill points, It’s probably a good idea to re-summon anyway just to be safe. (especially if you’re doing a hardcore run)

Only skill point? What if I wear all pet bonus gear, summon them then switch to defensive gear? My pet’s stat remains, right

I’ve no idea on that part, sorry. Perhaps someone with more experience on this front will chime in.
Although I do wonder if it’s even worth the hassle. Pet oriented items usually come with some resists/hp affixes as well.
