excellent choice my friend! You can be assured that grim dawn is better in almost every way. Except we have dev who hates paladin that is Zantai. But despite that GD has better paladin than titan quest. The only thing thats possibly better on TQ is that their youtube trailer has always have more better views than Crate’s:p

The loot in titan quest even before AE is the worst I have seen. The design is pretty dope but the loots are very poor especially when compared to GD. Like many items carry just one stat are most are useless. Granted this is only normal mode.

Even for a pushover player like me I did not die to this weakling. Other bosses like the undead ones can be annoying as they have huge unreasonable resistance to whatever my build was dishing out :stuck_out_tongue:

In normal mode overall TQ is much harder than Grim Dawn. Bosses are unreasonable, loot is bad and not thought my devs pretty good.

I only manage to push until lvl 75 that was years ago but then as far as I can recall things are still pretty bad in the loot department

You do realise that if Zantai really hated Paladins he wouldn’t have even used it for a class name. :stuck_out_tongue:

There’s only 2 things typhon has that can even remotely threaten you, meteors and thorns. If you keep moving when typhon broadcasts the meteors you won’t get hit. If you don’t hit typhon while his thorns are up, you won’t die. Aside from that if you have decent resists and hp he can’t kill you, if he does dmg you just pop a potion.

With a build that cannot deal much damage Typhon is hard. For example a pets Illusionist if he keeps wiping out your pets with his area of effect attacks then it’s a long (but not hard) fight. I don’t know if some changes to the game make the pets able to withstand?

With a crappy build that cannot deal damage, any content is hard. That does not mean the content itself is hard…

My trap illusionist handled typhon just fine on all difficulties, and that was before tqae. Since then traps have been buffed so it’s probably easier now.

All of my characters can destroy him in 5 seconds on Legendary. Run to the Battle Marker, wait for him to use his meteor attack, proceed to kill him so fast that you question why he’s the final boss of the base game. He’s a laughable joke, current Loghorrean is much harder by comparison and he’s easy.

At least with Hades they had the right idea of not adding stats enhancing statues in the arena. He’s also too easy as well, so i guess it doesn’t matter.

yeah Typhon aka Username is definitely a comedy of a boss, and having the game named after him is even more of a joke in itself :stuck_out_tongue:

going to other bosses, how would you rate Hades difficulty compared to say Master of Flesh? :stuck_out_tongue:

Master of Flesh is definitely more difficult than Hades to me. But he’s not all that difficult though, but i can excuse a somewhat lower difficulty if it means the fight is fun. And i enjoy Theodin fight.

Hades and difficult? Then Magikarp is the most OP pokemon. :stuck_out_tongue:

I like his third form, which oddly looks quite similar to Theodin’s. Or Theodin’s third form looks similar to Hade’s since the latter came first.

Lazy devs copying stuff from other games. :stuck_out_tongue:

There’s something noticeable bout those tq major bosses. they’re so arrogant that they want to duel with players without having any minibosses/champions assisting them… at least in ultimate difficulty.

imagine if typhon is accompanied by the most dangerous telkine that has various mage skills/summons.

imagine if the three machae generals of hades is resurrected by hades, and watching yourself getting owned by those 3 machae bastards while hades’ is in background lamenting the fact that his grandmaster archer wardens steal the spotlight.

surtr should’ve been helped by a weakened loki who’s returning for the second round… (that frequently spawned weak imp that immobilizes players is quite troublesome though).

anyway, those gods are prone to fall victim to their own hubris. though its kinda fitting that the credits song for titan quest (not that rock song) is titled ‘when gods fall’.

@kukuhimanpr

Or Hades flanked by a pair of Dactyls

come on, give poor hades some sympathy. its already depressing enough for him that his generals are more deadly than him. not to mention that his throne room has a humiliating design when you look at the map.

2.5 Update

Changelog

  • Fixed toggle item pick up
  • Fixed so stash increase button is disabled when its full size
  • Fixed so rare items will show when using filter dual magical
    Added tag for relic
  • Improved dx11 stability

I can’t disagree with that. But the content might not be objectively hard rather it might for a particular character design. It’s relative though. I would disagree that all builds should clear Typhon in 15 seconds or they shall be designated as ‘sucky’. But I would agree that a build that takes real long time on bosses who wipe pets (as an example) that means that build is weak in that instance rather than the boss is objectively ‘sometimes difficult’.

I just realised, after playing for some days now, that ranged weapons can t crit, i just stared at the screen asking why why why…now i want to fix this bug, so i can play the game properly, i hope its possible without too much mess.

It’s not a bug, that’s how bows are designed. They can’t crit but they can’t miss either.

Not a bug, not possible to “fix” either. Spells/bows can never miss or crit.
