Wow. You did it. Elemental spread and everything. An actual, real honest to goodness no bullshit 64bit replacement for Grim Internals for the new versions. Thank you so much. Being able to see my damage type output in real time, and switching around on the fly based on what I saw was something I really grew used to, so it’s removal was driving me nuts. It’s sorted now. I’m so relieved. BIG session coming up, let me tell you : )
Personally, I also think your UI is an improvement with how you can drag it around the screen. You sir, are a scholar and a gentleman.
Hello Sleepless, and thank you so very much for this tool, which allowed me to keep my sanity post v1.2
Does this tool posess the ability to increase our zoom distance in the devotion tree? griminternals did, and i’m not a programmer so i’ve not a clue as to it’s viability. Thanks for all your hard work <3
i think i found the issue. i have the updated version of Rainbow Filter installed but i was using a tag patch for one of the class mods which was probably from an older version.
im not seeing broken tags anymore.
Edit: start seeing them again when i set a filter config to rare prefix.
Does this occur without DPYes loaded?
My gut feeling is that as this is a common item, it would typically be hidden by Grim Dawn’s loot filter and you wouldn’t see the error.
Can you pickup one of them and check the item later without DPYes loaded?
I think this actually a typo on Crate’s end, both of these affixes: database\records\items\lootaffixes\broken\broken_all01.dbr database\records\items\lootaffixes\broken\broken_armor01.dbr
make reference to TagQualityBrokenA01 as their name, but there’s no such tag in tags_items.txt (or any other localization file).
Additionally, there’s an unused tag called TagQualityBrokenArmor01 which is what I suspect TagQualityBrokenA01 is supposed to be.
i went through an area with DPSYes not loaded and not a single common item dropped but when i loaded DPSYes, those broken items drop. you cant pick them up. its like they dont exist.
Was this with Grim Dawn’s inbuilt loot filter disabled?
Regardless, you should be able to just add a rule to hide common items in DPYes.
Insofar as I can tell, that localization text doesn’t exist in the game, maybe Grim Dawn has some extra checks to hide items that drop with that affix :person_shrugging
With Zoom min the same as Zoom max you indeed won’t be able to zoom.
For the devotion screen zoom, lower values are more zoomed out.
That is to say, increasing Zoom max will let you zoom into the devotion tree further while decreasing Zoom min will let you zoom out more.
Just to confirm, you have attempted to zoom the devotion tree after changing the min and max zoom?
The current zoom isn’t retroactively clamped to within the range.
I’ve uploaded 14a which fixes a bug that prevented the previous devotion zoom settings from being applied (i.e., not applied after restarting the game)
and also adds a warning if DPYes failed to find find the devotion zoom limits in Grim Dawn.
This is clean install (no previous .ini file, new .exe and .dll), with no changes to zoom levels - https://i.imgur.com/xv6mo9r.jpeg
Now, i change zoom max to 1.1. I assume its not that big of a number to cause an issue, right? I change zoom max, restart the game just in case - https://i.imgur.com/qGCRIeF.jpeg
This is fully zoomed out tree.
There is a “sweet spot” however, after max zoom out and zoom in once, this is the picture, looks good - https://i.imgur.com/1oxCmqy.jpeg
Another finding:
This is zoom level when i boot up the game and DO NOT open tool’s config menu (do not press f5) - https://i.imgur.com/tpAzGR8.jpeg. Looks fine.
After I open open config menu (press f5), back to the old story - https://i.imgur.com/2JMYA6F.jpeg
Zoom min controls how far you can zoom out / how much you can see at once – not zoom max.
So if you want to find the perfect zoom out, you should be adjusting Zoom min
I wasn’t able to reproduce different zoom limits before / after opening the config menu the first time.
Well… In my experience, in every game “max zoom” is always referred to “max zoom out”. Because user can see more i guess? Maybe change wording to “max zoom out” (for when you can see more of devotions) and “max zoom in” (the opposite)?
Try these steps:
Clean tool install (no previous ini)
Boot up the game, check devotion tree zooms
Press F5, change “zoom max” setting even to 1.01
Check devotion tree.
Restart the game, check devotion tree without bringing up tool’s menu.
Press F5 without restarting the game, check devotion tree.
I have uploaded a video of this process - https://youtu.be/UfpC2zNcvKE
While doing so, i noticed that my DPS meter does not work, it maybe related issue. Overlay part of it.
In 14a it simply won’t display - new install, install and restart the game, nothing. I roll back to 13c and it works. I made another video - https://youtu.be/spcEXYiQmcI (i forgot to press f5 a few times to show that indeed DPS overlay only works when tool’s menu is brought up in 14a)
