So I am trying to switch up my warder from Avenger set and go with a different build that involves a Troll Bonecrusher. I am having a terrible time getting “Barbaric” and “Of Fury” affixes on the Bonecrusher, and have blown a ton of ashes trying to get either of them- (double rare)
Furthermore, I have been trying to farm Benevald the vendor in Blood Grove, using the portal reset trick to try and get at least one of the affixes I need on a Bonecrusher. But nope. It’s always “of blood” “Of alacrity” “superior”…over and over…never “Barbaric” or “of fury”.
Can the vendor not even sell these Bonecrushers with these affixes? Am I wasting my time?
What’s the most efficient way to get the one I want? Is it better to farm the mobs in East Marsh or Smuggler’s Pass? Because farming the vendor feels like a huge waste of time…
Any input on this would be appreciated.

I have no idea if it is still accurate for 1.3 given the newly added affixes and items, but you can check out Modal’s tool of crushing dreams to see the drop chances for each affix. Vendor farming was nerfed as some point to limit the number of double rare drops, but single rare should not be affected. Roll chance for each affix is still very much affected, but can be overwritten using the altar.
Vendor affix farming was nerfed, so rare affixes got down to like… idono, lower than before/not that high"lots of resets", anecdotally, i’ve definitely seen rare affixes on Benevald, including unfitting ones (do you like elemental on your bonecrushers?) 
I can’t remember if i saw babaric or fury specifically tho, could just be they are more rare. But i also don’t know if vendor farming has been additionally stealth nerfed since 1.2.1.3? i think it was
East Marsh is good because dangerous domain means increased rates. Voldrak lair is fast since short (just keep in mind he can’t drop it himself)
The spreadsheet is out of date, but gddb can produce a correct loot table for any MI using your current game files.
Yep they can be vendor farmed, it can just take a while (or more…).
I did this during FoA launch when I fresh started a Bonecrusher Primalist and spent way too much time vendor farming GG leveling items for no reason. Idk if it’s been nerfed since FoA release though.
As a sidenote, the ascension altar loot bias modifiers (more likely to get X type items) work on vendors as well, which can help with farming some items. Though, I’m not sure how much it matters here since the Bonecrusher already has an affix bias for phys/bleed (based on my experience, not sure what the actual code says). Not sure if the “increased double rare chance” altar modifier works here or not, I don’t think I tested it.
Imo farming East March is way too much effort pre ultimate, but it might be worth farming with the ascension altar double rare mods etc. at higher levels.
Spam Gulgoth, way more likely to get the needed affixes faster than crawling to the overnerfed vendor.
Gulgoth is one time spawn though? He only spawns if you have quest for him, and that quest autocompletes once gulgoth is dead.

Then eventually Smuggler’s Pass, but this way farming it makes less sense - it’s a rare drop.
