Nope, never got my screenshot skills over 9000
I usually screw things up and “click” when one temp buff has ended

those sacred platings. I must have overlooked the stats it provides. . so That pretty much is the solution to losing vit res from stormhearts.
Also is brimstone worth it? you pretty much gave up flashbang’s debuff and lightning RR from mines just taking it. ( though I must admit that mines is awkward to use af)
It’s a DPS increase for Mythical Stormheart since Brimstone’s flat damage gets converted to Lightning. I figured we have decent Lightning RR so it doesn’t hurt much.
Compare it with kill tests as extra sheet DPS can be misleading at times. Oh and out of curiosity how much of a sheet DPS boost are we looking at here?
On the topic of MIs, I am having terrible luck with Kilirian MI, Ugdenbog Rifles, Pistols and daggers.
Loxmere on the other hand loves dropping Glacial Loxmere’s Daggers
Okay what I am about to ask maybe clear to most, but at the moment it is not clear to me.
But this evening I found this Mace …
It is a very good mace in my opinion … but I would loose the Armour piercing and the attack speed from the Steel long-sword. I have tried the Mace and yes the damage is there, and it would have been even more if I had put a Serrated spike on it.
But since this is a DW build there is no shield and attack speed seems very important, should I stick with the Steel long-sword for the armour piercing and attack speed? Or am I simply fooling myself here and should I go with the Mace with its obvious damage and its plus side for Fire Strike. ( And take the loss of 36% AP and the attack speed? )
( Incase people need to look at my Saboteur: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/M2geDK6Z )
If the DPS drop is significant I wont recommend it. However I suggest you to continue farming That Purple Bastard to drop his mace with speed bonuses/lightning bonuses.
According to Prince his MI Mace might be BiS in second weapon slot so you should focus on farming it
Alright I will, thank you Chthon.
So, finally managed to kill Reaper, took a lot of deaths (10+) learning the hard way!
But it’s doable once you learn his attack patterns and prioritise the wraiths, along with timing your attacks so you have bloodthirster and blast shield ready to go at the same time. And of course, disengage when you’re vulnerable or debuffed by the bloody wraiths. That and the potion that boosts your health 10% is very useful as is using scenery to block his 360 projectile attack the slows you massively down.
Still managed to get health up to 12000 and bleeding resistance over 80% too despite being hostile with Barrowholm and without really sacrificing dps etc.
Thank you for your feedback on the Reaper
And especially for posting it on the Nemesis discussion thread. Your experience would be valuable to tune him
Btw tip for you, never antagonize a bunch of travelers who are just eating unsuspecting innocents :p:p:p
Honestly the difference is about 3k dps in using thunderstruck affix. So in sum its not worth it, besides we lose 10% attack proc from sword, and its hard to get a proper good roll from that purple dude. This build the way I see it is about ultimate ranking static strike so we should probably just not replace the stormhearts.
Indeed
I tried it with Skyfallen Mace of Alacrity and the DPS gain wasn’t that great, loosing that proc is a big deal
Right - now that I’ve killed Kupa three times with my variant of this build, I can say that it is possible, if not actually kind of easy once you get your tactics sorted.
You just can’t facetank him and in fact the easiest way to kill him and his clones is to run in circles around a bit of terrain, dropping thermite mines and throwing flashbangs to proc stuff, along with doing hit and run attacks. Combined, the assorted procs and attacks will wear them down surprisingly fast. And once he’s down to one clone you can facetank them as long as blood thirster and blast shield are ready. Somewhat easier than Reaper since he can’t rush you and the attacks are pretty well telegraphed. Also, I usually drop a 10% health boost potion + 25% increased healing rate one as well, to give me some more breathing space with Kupa.
And of course, cheesing with portals also works, since the 3rd stage clones are individually pretty weak once isolated.
Lastly - Fabius usually melts before this build, due to how strong blast shield is. Makes me miss the old days when he was actually a threat. As for Val, similarly he’s weak, but slower to kill due to his innately high lightening resist.
Never went against Barrowholm
Kuba doesn’t require any extra HP pots though, so that sounded weird to me.
Also, Aleksandr can be shredded easily but you need to lure him into a house. Cause his Meteor is basically an anti-tank missile
The pots are there for extra breathing room, since I’m not always 100% functioning when I play due to sleep fun. Leading to me making plenty of stupid mistakes at times.
Ah okay
That makes sense
Can report happily that this can also handle The Ancient Grove and Gargabol, heck, it cleared the death room in almost no time, though the Deathstalker was a pain, and Gargabol requires a lot of kitting, died almost 3 times, and triggered Divine Light once while fighting him. Mines as per usual do a good deal of the damage while you’re kitting.
Did manage to take of half his second phase health though with blast shield and blood thirster on before running away due to the massive damage incoming from the fissures spawns.
Lol Second Phase of Gargabol is hard alright. He’s basically the new Shar’Zul for us.
Before AoM Shar’Zul was the build’s toughest enemy and now its this guy
Deathstalker cannot be leeched off so its natural to struggle a little. Just time your heals and you can manage it.
Have been looking forward to a DW lightning melee for some time and coupling this with Ulzuins set makes a good match.
How does the build compare vs JaJaJa`s Fire Saboteur?
Also what would you advice of Elementalist vs Sabo - asking as i have both such chars (Sabo is Jajaja`s fire version and Stun Jacks Elementalist) and contemplating which to respec?
While I never played his original pre-nerf Sabo I don’t think Maelstrom or in fact any melee build besides a Cold Trickster, Cold SS Breaker and DG Witch Hunter compares to it in terms Single Target damage output.
His current version of the build is meant for pre-151 Crucible farming while my own is meant for MC End game farming.
I can’t comment on this build’s crucible performance since with exception of the Elemental Vindicator all my guides are only tested in Main Campaign. If they happen to work in the crucible then it’s merely an added bonus
B/w Elementalist and Saboteur I lean towards the Saboteur (literally no reason, I just like it :D)
For no reason at all stopped at your thread too procrastinate in your grimtools links.
Made few changes to your sabouter. Imo, this version is bit better
I’ll need to test it mainly cause of the gloves
As for component changes I already tested Seal of Skies, while it’s true it’d be a DPS boost but Bloodthirster+Oleron Debuff add to defenses which is why I don’t want to give up on them
Trust me doing this is a lot more fun than posting guides
