For the “limited AOE/Dmg” do you just blitz to the nearest monste and start swinging? Might help to try to “round” up a few monsters so they all can be hit by your BA swings, or make sure you blitz into the middle of the pack. If you are swinging at the mobs on the outside of packs, it will limit your AOE. If you’re not doing enough damage to kill them quick enough, it may be your gear. Is lvl 38 your average gear level? Are you on HC or SC? If SC, you could sacrifice some defense for some more DPS, but on HC…slower kill speeds is just how it goes to keep up your defenses so you don’t die…
Have you defeated Log yet? That fight is usually the test to see if you’re ready for Elite. If you struggle, then farm, if you breeze through it go ahead and move on.
I do wonder about the gearing as well, as this is my first attempt at HC, so don’t have any gear stored up… In the gear section it is stated the build is gear dependent to reach the final product, but NOT REQUIRED to beat the game… So are there any alternate gear suggestions?
I tried primal strike but for my physical setup until reaching 75 I found blade arc to be better and while I’m leveling it uses less points. Then I’m planning on the savagery lightning switch at 75. Even now with Savagery I can do more single target damage but blade arc with stonefist i’m like a freight train through the mobs
Yeah my primal strike hits for like 5k-6k(and thats using thunderous strikes so i can spam it) while my blade arc hits for 2k theres no chance of me going back to that haha, also i spent the same amount of pts in both. Only positive difference in blade arc is the low mana cost, but still i cant justify spam vs 1 shooting mobs.
I would still like to know a alternative end game gear(cheap poor mans version)
Do you have a lot of lightning gear? BA does a ton of damage for me… I tried PS, and found BA clearing faster… Might be different gear focus? But the BIG advantage of BA is the life steal which does not work well with PS. If you’re playing SC, probably not a big deal though…
I did notice under the leveling section there is a note under lv 75 that has some alternate gear if you’re not using/have Ulto’s set.
This is the first time I followed completly a guide, is a fun character to play indeed.
I’m 76 now, switched to savagery+lightning oriented build, but damage is waaay lower than yours (something like 48 k DPS).
To tell you the truth I wasn’t expecting to have 100k, cause I’m still missing some items, plus when I check guides and such I feel there are a lot of “perfect rolled” gear, but I was expecting 70k DPS or so. OA is lot lower too…
I’m missing Ultos’s amulet and hood, belt and ring. The rest is the same gear. Any tips?

I’m 85 now, at DarkVale. I don’t know what to say. The char was really fun overall. Still I think like my warlock and dual gun sorc, will end being fun, stomping everything at elite, but not so great au ultimate. I was expecting to use this to farm nemesis and such, but it wont work.
DPS is fine, but since is so squishy, maybe I need the OA and DPS u have, cause everything that touches you hurts. Is not tanky really… I was blown up twice by random heroes, I don’t think playing HC would be great, maybe with full gear… still resist arent good and HP/phys res/armor are meh.
I ran to Ben’Jahr or wathever today, he 2 shot me once, 1.5 shot the next, and skipped him next, cause was a nonsense. Maybe I’ll try to convert the char to a physical 2H warder and see. I wont be able to kill any nemesis this way anyway.
Any advice is apreciated. And excuse my English… I know it’s bad =(. I enjoyed the char, was fun.

i have problem with devotion: i cant remove points from hound cause it tells me that it’s a dependance for kraken.

i have a very similar build but my gear is better lol; i’m not understanding the 25k health… i’ve got about 17k at 75 but don’t see how i can add that much in 10 levels, already have my lvl 75 items and 50 devotion.
Has this build become obsolete with the 1.0.0.5 patch? I saw that there were some changes on item procs, especially the lightning ones and was wondering if it affected this build. Definitely looks fun
SF Gear? How many hours did you play to find all the gear you have? Or is it out of your chest and the Items you kept? How does this build perform in Crucible?
3/4 of the way through Elite, and I have exactly one complaint: Blade Arc til 75 is mind-numbingly boring. You may want to add a caveat to your guide that switching to Savagery/Primal Strike around 58-60 is doable (which is what I have done and I’m having fun again!).
i am 74 lvl now playing with blade arc. When i reach 75 i can switch to savagery with my existing gear or i must have the legendary gear you have?? Any tips for a player who cant find or craft that sets/?

My main (lvl 85) is your build “warder 100 % retaliation/ tank” and i love him. i m playing in duo with a friend sorcerer(aether dmg/AOE/laser) and the combo is perfect (i taunt, he cleans :D)
Now i m trying this lightning build and i love it too. i like the endless sound of lightning/storm hitting the ground :rolleyes:
