What do you think of Relics?

There is also Glacier which I use for my health regeneration Vindictive Flame Tank. Only 2700 total life but can get about 860 health regeneration with Blood of Dreeg.

In total I have Glacier’s ice nova proc, Vindictive Flame’s fire nova proc and also my shield has seismic slam proc as well

Called him The Immortal though ironically he has around 17 deaths - forgot how I got those deaths lol.

Whoa! Has anyone actually managed to craft a Deathchill relic yet? I’ve never even seen some of those components.

I’ve made one, if you want I can send you a copy.

Are you finding the cost of crafting Relics to be an appropriate challenge? Are Tier 2 (Transcendent) Relics an appropriate cost for the power they provide?

I think he cost on most of the Tier 2 are way too high, out of the 4 or 5 tier 2 I have 3 of them require at least 2 or 3 tire 1 relics, and they require the more expensive tire 1 relics.
I suggest this gets cut down to only 1 relic

My only issue is getting the same blueprints over and over again. Since blacksmith plans are shared across characters on the same account, can’t we have the drop check to see what plans haven’t been learned and then pick from those accordingly?

This. This so hard.
At least we can buy a component when we sell the blueprint…

If not why not transmute Blueprints into a random blueprint at the crafter? 3 Aether Crystals (2nd tier) + 1 Blueprint = New random blueprint

moreover, not finding one Tier1 relic does prevent you for completing several Tier 2 relics. for example i didn’t find a Sanctuary recipe yet. then i can’t craft neither Juggernaut (got everything else) nor Fortress (got everything else… except the blueprint:p). and Arbiter needs Sanctuary too. so with one Tier 1 relic missing you’re not able too craft any of the Tier 2 relics interesting for a soldier-based character :undecided:

in the other hand Conflagration is quite easy too craft, you basically “just” need Inferno’s and Conflagration’s recipes and you’re done.

but it’s just a little tuning, the system is near from perfect already

When i reach lv 35 and need to find lower component, its like really low chance. I wonder when the level cap is higher, and we need lower components, what would happen…

Hey there,

Having just made a DEE character i found that there isn’t an offensive relic that focuses on acid and poison damage until the Epic tier being Blight, but i don’t think you can get this now and it isn’t usable at lower levels.

There are relics which give resistances to Poison and Acid damage but nothing in the way of a damage buff. I just thought it would be nice if we could see Poison and Acid damage get some love on the relic front pre-level 50

this. so much this. i’m left wondering what the hell to do relic wise with my DEE occultist. probably terror or torment but neither is ideal. just something to give a little boost.

i agree, Blight should be lvl 35

but i won’t be surprised if we see a few relics added to the game before final release, as we saw for epics items, MI…

I like relics. It is certainly easier to get them here than it was in TQ and they seem to be more useful this time (granted skills). However, I’ve seen that for me at least certain relics drop way more than others - Ember, Emerald, Loadstone, Spikes, Claw. While some other have abysmal drop rate, even though when they aren’t of a higher level or rarity. This means it very very difficult to craft some stuff (Glacier in this case) because Fur will drop very rarely for me and I need that to create parts of another relic which is an ingredient of that.

The relic Corruption is redesigned in B20 to be a viable choice for poison builds.

With b20, most high-end (non-rare) components are craftable. The ones you listed off (among others) are entry tier components which are used to craft better ones and so are meant to drop frequently.

Which component makes it difficult to craft Glacier?

tysm  time to save components.

Relics are nice to craft and OFC to use…
Btw i like the choice I have to do due to fact that 2 or 3 can be used …
Flat dmg boost + cunning ? - AS and life leech ? etc etc.

Some are pretty “hard” to craft (I mean you need more farm / playtime to get it)
slaughter for example…

So I should have explained that a bit more. I am trying to make Glacier relic, which needs the following:

  1. Coldstone - Chilled Steel

  2. Frozen Heart - Nothing

  3. Radiant Gem -
    a) Dense Fur
    b) Molten Skin
    c) Rigid Shell

Now the problem here comes with the third one, Radiant Gem. See those a,b,c combine to make only 1/3rd of Radiant Gem. So, I will need 3 each of a,b and c to make one Radiant Gem. But as it happen, for me only one a/Dense Fur has dropped so far in the game which is pretty ridiculous. While I have b and c dropped more and have used them for other things as well.

Also, I wanted to point out, how weird crafting this Relic is. For 1, I need only Chilled Steel. For 2 again just one completed component. While for 3rd I not only need 3 components (one of which has dropped only once for me in game while other two have dropped frequently) but I need 3 of each to complete it. Hope you get my point

I thought so.

In B20, the Radiant Gem is crafted completed, for that exact reason.

That is great to hear

Also, while we’re conversing, I wanted to ask something about the components. Completed ones usually have two set of bonuses or a set of bonus and a skill. While the first set is mostly static depending on the relic, the second one can change. What I wanted to ask was, how this second set is determined ? Does it have to do with my character or is it just random ?

If you are saying the skill completion bonus is static, then I agree.

If you are asking is the non skill completion bonus random, to an extent. There is typically a small pool of choices for each component and it is randomly selected fromt that pool.

I’m a fan of the relics. Allows for more “customized” gameplay depending on which one you take. Some are confusing compared to others, but it’s part of the game to figure out.
