What is die farm?

It is RPG in a sense that it’s a game where you can roleplay. Character levelling system is just an iconic feature, but strictly speaking doesn’t define RPG as RPG. But yeah, gameplay-wise it’s more of a FPS with RPG elements.

^ triggered… lol… also a severe case of selective reading. :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe, to be honest :undecided:

I just can’t figure out why some guys bother too much how other people play…just that.

If that happens I’m gunning for you.

I don’t really care what other people do, but I do not get die farming. For one it is a lot of time / effort for something that can be accomplished more easily and for another I am not sure why die-farmers do not get kicked from the game by whoever is actually playing it.

If I played the Crucible with an open online game, I would kick them, what is in it for me to keep them around ?

More loot and faster exp gain if you actually understood what die farming is.

Half the time in a die farm game is spent picking up loot.

So you people are laughing at others leveling through the games proper mechanics whether its crucible ‘die’ or whatever the fuck they do YET its fine to use a cheat editor to get lvl 100 in moments, then add in best in slot gear and have a playtime of 15 minutes yet capped Devotions, Nemesis/Revered on all factions

Nah I think most of you are pathetic actually who do the latter, at least the ‘crucible die’ are at least putting in some effort

“check out my DW Tactician who has Seal of BLades and every gear BiS moments after the xpac released. I TRADED FOR THIS. I FARMED MY ASS OFF… in a hex editor. DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT TOOK ME TO FIND THE ITEM DBRS?”

fuck off

I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but most people play the game without die farming or editing, myself included. To us both parties look ridiculous, but overall few ppl aside we don’t care how other people play the game. But I for one consider it a mockery when one party claims they are somehow legit because they spent slightly more time. I prefer when cheaters and abusers at least don’t pretend.

/smirk

I liked the part where he said that “at least they put in effort”.

That’s rich. And way over his head apparently. Die farming is a half assed alternative to actually using a trainer. You’re wasting time. Use the editor instead and actually get to playing the fucking game already.

Been wondering the same, people seem to have everything bis already. I’ve been literally farming my ass off (10 hours or more almost every day since xpac was released) and i have like nothing. 1-2 items mostly of the new sets.

Yeah, it’s a SP game, i get it. And i don’t give a shit what people do. It’s just a funny thought.

triggered to INFINITY. And he missed the point by a mile.
too many die farmers getting triggered and attempting to raise their “we are legit flags.” shame they’re not good readers.
I love watching clowns make bigger clowns of themselves in the forums.

^ @Shrukn: get a brain… this helped you understand yet???

A quote worthy to become Chthon signature…

Thread will be closed if insulting continues.

Might as well close it then.

What started out as a hearty gathering of sensible discussions in irony of “human thinking” quickly became a troll-fest when triggered fan-boys, who lack the capacity to read, started joining the conversation and started waving their flags.

Speaking of reading comprehension. :furious:

oh i understood that fine, i just didn’t give enough ****s to give them any face.

I never said I understood it, in fact the whole thread is about explaining it to those who do not, so why don’t you give it a shot ?

From the answers in the thread it seems to be someone joining a Crucible session and then basically going afk and dying (but still ‘earning’ XP and loot) while someone else does all the work of actually defeating the waves. I.e. the die farmer is the dead guy, not the one surviving. Your reply makes it sound like the survivor is the one.

Faster XP I can see, not that most people in C still need XP… more loot maybe from the added monsters, not the loot from the dead guys as they still want their share in the end (and depending on game settings you cannot even pick it up if you wanted to).
If the loot and XP simply is from more mobs then you probably did not actually gain much of anything as they should also increase your play time, so you would get similar loot and XP from running the C say three times by yourself vs 2 times with some dead guys and spend comparable time doing so.

Which is why it’s so humorous. It’s basically 3 deadbeats piggy-backing off 1 workhorse. What gets me the most are the ones doing it to level up. Kinda just leaves ya going, ummmm. Ok. Use an editor (and your brain) already. Why bother going to all that trouble? It’s like the story of the guy on the ladder changing the lightbulb with his 3 buddies below holding the ladder.

Winning.

There was a post a while back that originally brought this trend to my attention and I was all for Crate destroying this behavior then and I still am now. If they want to throw the “It’s a SP game and we can cheat anyway” argument at me, yeah, that’s nice. Doesn’t mean this exploit should be doable in base vanilla gameplay. If you’re going to cheat, then cheat already. You’re basically 3/4’s of the way there. Time to come out of the closet and go all the way baby.
