Damn the facebook, their stupid, evil changes to the timeline feed meant I didnât see there was a new album from Tired Lion that came out last year. Which was reduced to a 1 women show after the front women Sophie Hopes chose to move to Brisbane, but the rest of the band couldnât follow her⊠And so sheâs playing every instrument bar the flute in this album and yet it still fucking rocks.
The new River of Nihil album is fucking good.

Severely underrated band, IMO.
Not bad, but metalcore is not quite my thing.
I listened in to Serpestaâs new album today and find it rather good.
Hatebreed is more of a âHardcore metalâ band than metalcore. That Serpesta song is ok, black metal is not my thing.
New Idles albumâs dropped and I think itâs going to take a few more listens to get it (not a mark against it, just my brain being annoying) while just listening to it. But thereâs some definitely awesome tracks on there, including one that sounds like nothing Idles has ever done, and itâs beautiful:

The first is justâŠtoo much going on for me. The second had a great riff, but I donât like the vocals style. Hereâs a melodic metal song, although the vocals are in Old Norse.
And a classic melodic 'core song.
