The mod looks amazing, I canā€™t wait to try it out.
Is there a way to use this UI in the base game?

That was fast, thank you!

Finally hit 50, Act 6, Level 5, it is a breeze. I did some adjustments you told me about but I am still missing some runes and socketed items  I do not have any Antivenom Salve it seems and no one seems like selling them. It is a dead end for now. I will see to finishing acts and jump right into Nightmare to see how they massaacre my boy. Thanks for all the advice.

Antivenom Salve is a component thats only craftable. You can make thise once you reach lvl15. No blueprints required.

ā€œWhile this makes sense if your not very tech-savvy person, itā€™s usually never good idea to just max out any setting without any regard to what it does.ā€

Ambient occlusion to me always made a huge difference. I was glad to get it when I went from a 1GB card to an 8GB card not long ago. None of the settings you mentioned even impact my system at all, alone or all together.

Individually they may not make a huge impact, but all together it can. An example with a high bitrate video, simply sharpen it if your video player gives you the option, and you immediately have a 1080p, and possibly a 4k looking image with higher detail from one simple adjustment.

In addition, Grim Dawn doesnā€™t require any kind of camera rotation so it plays great at a much lower framerate, so far less demanding than most games.

It is also dependent on personal preference and what you notice during gameplay. Iā€™ve never seen HDR, for example, because I canā€™t afford it. But Iā€™m well aware of how significant contrast is from doing my own graphics mod. So Iā€™ve no doubt HDR can blow a person away, but for those who havenā€™t ever seen it due to having a low income, they have no idea what they are missing.

At the same time, thereā€™s also things that wonā€™t impact you at all for many reasons, and thatā€™s fine too (like monitor size and viewable distance). My eyes are trained a specific way and notice rather subtle imperfections from my experience doing graphics and seemless textures.

It made my ex nervous as she was aware at the level of perfectionism I had, LOL. I donā€™t hold people to the same standard as graphics. Besides, she was gorgeous.

@Ram and team. Congratulations on this long awaited update. Must have been alot of sweat and tears. Iā€™ll be taking a more thorough reading of the patch notes later. This is a patch worthy of any Grim Dawn official patch, if reading the notes have anything to do with it.

It seems like this is a prep/balance patch, for things to come.

@Ram and rest of the team - thank you for this mod! So far i spent hundredths of hours and in a way, I find it superior to the original Diablo.

I have question though - can i revert the UI to the original Grim Down? The mana and the heath bar are bugging me - moving sideways, it is unnatural :D. It is not a big issue, but if there is a way to revert I want to use it.

Not possible out of the box. Youā€™d have to change the UI yourself which requires some GD modding knowledge.

I like the changes so far.

I was using wolves on my melee build to guard against the oak sage dying, as I placed high life as a priority on the druid and seemed more presseing at the time over pumping into barbarian. More meat shields to protect myself as well. I donā€™t remember how it was before, but now I could put 20 points into minion health without wolves. And the strategic selection between spirit wolves and a lower cap of 3 larger wolves is interesting. Again, donā€™t remember what they did before. increasing my ability at level 34 to summon 3 wolves per cast instead of 2 and lowering the cap to 5 is interesting, I donā€™t rely on damage from summons/pets. The gameplay is improved from these changes, itā€™s easier to keep up the 5 than before when wolves start dying.

I didnā€™t notice before, but I like the different masteries for various classes, be it this patch or a previous one.

People on discord must have contributed alot or someone used alot of cheats to test every build themselves, as the changes and the direction to the mod is impressive and large in scope.

Again, overall I like the druid changes to the wolf and bear summons, far more compatible with other classes combining with them and in understanding for theory crafting builds before you play a class.

I can think for worst ways to waste my time :). Time to learn how to mod. Thanks @Ram.

i cant understand this. there are 5+ things to download, do you somehow combine them all? when i go to download one it says it is corrupt and i cant do anything with it. what do i do? i dont understand this at all.

Step 1) download all 5 files. Make sure theyre all in the same folder.
Step 2) only 1 (the 1st one) is unzippable. Unzip amd extract that one into the mods folder.

That is it. Its basically a single file but split in several parts. So youll get an error if you try to open them with some pieces missing.

0.7.3.0 torrent has all 5 parts included already but Google Drive and MEGA download links are separate for each part.

Edit: Download and Instal sections updated with additional instructions / notes.

Wow. Iā€™m lazy AND I have bad memory. I used the torrent.

EDIT: Deleting my last post with misinformation.

thank you all very much! i super appreciate it

How do I know if the 0.7.3.1 hotfix installed successfully? This is what I see in the difficulty selection window:
RoT

If you extracted the zipfile in the right location and you got the pop-up which asked you to overwrite existing files, you did it correct.
The version number didnt change. Itā€™s a known issue and will be fixed the following patch

thereā€™s nothing to extract in these files. Downloaded from Google. All five parts. Thereā€™s no zipped file. Am I being stupid??
