⭐ Top 20 Softcore builds, ft. HC approved section from RektbyProtoss! [1.2.0.5] (An Onion)

I would say that current updated versions of Cold Sabouters and Deathmarked Dervish. Venomblade and Chaos Sabouter as well. Vitality RE and Pyran are pretty fast against Crucible/crowds.

I saw the nerfs to the Korba Set, the Phys res to health and less frost damage on savagery, how Bad is it over all? Im presume that build lost the top spot?

I lost my saves and starting from Scratch, so it would be quite good to know which build to go for to rebuild that all

It’s still very good

For people being worried about ranged not being featured in the top 20. I found a video of banana peel using an (1.2) Evoker Vindicator (ranked 42 on the list just in points) to face tank and kill Ravager of Flesh in 6 seconds less than the Korba Trickster (ranked 1).
That is a bit of an indication of the margins we’re apparently talking about with this list

On a side note: The evoker vindicator build uses crafted magic gloves with only a rare suffix. The balance and itemisation in this game are insane.

I wanted to clarify a bit about this: top builds have sometimes similiar marks in like two or three categories but the difference between let’s say top3 builds in this list and not even honorable mentions builds is very noticable in terms of power levels. Like top20 builds are usually good to great or amazing in every category, a feature that not many builds possess in the end.

Like iirc Evoker’s “weakness” was not really elite single target tankiness (which is just hard to achieve with how ranged builds usually just leech less than melees against one target) and then quality of life isn’t exactly amazing with one teleport and extra buttons to press. Also long range aoe doesn’t feel exactly amazing on it, because its main firepower is in those Storm Spread shotguns that can mow packs in close range.

EDIT: Evoker is still a baller build tho, don’t get me wrong, like being a top40 strongest build is still cool relative to the amount of endgame builds GD has.

Oh I am sure you are absolutely right that there is a world of difference between the vindicator and the trickster. I wrongfully implied otherwise, I see.

What amazes me, though, is this:

Diablo IV has 42 viable endgame builds (at the time of posting this). That is S-Tier all the way down to D-Tier.
If your build is 42nd on that list it means that you are playing a (possibly fun, but) terrible build that is not really (all) end game viable.

In GD, the Evoker (42nd on your list on points - great coincidence for my point) still melts through enemies and is a very viable end game build. It might not be nearly as good as the number 1 or even the number 20, but at least it can do pretty much anything you want. That is amazing and a testament to what a great game GD is.

Korba Trickster 1.2.1.2 update

With Banana still on vacation and Wind Devils now being permanent we decided to add LA to compensate the loss of some flat dmg. It’s still very much viable to play without LA but it loses quite some punch. Korba would likely lose its top spot if we were to remake the ranking but would still make the top20 list.

Ravager :36
SR 75-76 4:11

Avenger Archon about to strike back to it’s knees. Back to being top 1. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

In Fangs of Asterkarn when Zantai adds those extra +% to proc mods to wps and we can have 50% Smite chance 50% Feral Hunger chance.

Hi, I’m new to the forum with 800h play time. After dozens of builds I still think dw sr set pierce blademaster is the most reliable of them all, like, my markovian warlord still has cc gap with ascension down, my warborn dies to self oleron proc in secs, n&o sabo got ohkod by kaisan and moosi, and I built my avenger warder like you showed, only to end with barely 2.6k oa and too many heal procs, which did nothing while farming and didn’t help vs ravager of souls (rows of sunder wraiths still give me nightmares) Eventually I built like this, which was good enough for sr75 farming.
You have put korba trickster 1st, but I almost quit the class combo bc leveling with a troll bat only proved how bad it’s at brawling.
And that’s my cup of salt. As for the various issues above, I’d like to hear the take from you, and keep up with the great work.
Cheers!

If you built it like we showed you shouldn’t end up with that little OA. That means you didn’t builld it like we showed i.e. you went with different items/devotions etc.

I don’t think inefficient leveling strategies have anything to do with how good Korba Trickster is in the endgame.

If you provide grimtools of the builds you are currently struggling with I can help.

Hello @mad_lee, thanks for replying. My old warder, note the low oa and poor stun resist, thus ditching menhir for oleron.
I must have followed rekt’s defensive devotions and missed several oa affixes
current trickster In my urge to make a dw brutallax endgame build, I went for 2h savagery leveling. Even with above average gear, it still struggles in melee combat. Turned out nightblade mastery had little help. Maybe I should have gone with more meta leveling like yet another dw pierce or vines.

But that’s nothing like our warder. If you want a top20 performance you have to follow our builds to the t, although there is always some leeway with green affixes.

I can only say that Nightblades are more about dual-wielding, I guess that applies to leveling too.

Why are you using the seal of the void on your weapon? Do you have any better advantages than cold?

because it is stronger to go with two Seals of the Void wps’ as opposed to one or two coldstones (on that particular setup), we tested it

Thank you for the information. I’m using it well.

Very nice list, but it’s missing a ranged, mostly auto-attack build, kinda like the Evoker Vindicator you ranked 5th on the old list.

What would you say is the best ranged, mostly auto-attack build at the moment?

Well those weren’t up to par this time, we were also all collectively sad about it because we like ranged builds.

I would say that Evoker is one of the strongest ranged builds still but my Pierce Paladin or like Darkblaze Pyro are also up there with it. Just not at the level of the top20 builds.

Is there a ranged build that can take Cala, for example?

A Physical one with a lot of armor would have the easiest time perhaps?
