Сraftsmen of Cairn

There are already resources with description of smiths in GD like Wiki or topics on forums. However, to my best knowledge, no one contains the complete information on them. The guide is intended to provide all valuable data on smiths to be used by new and experienced players. You will find here information on their location, unique talents and services.

Note: Keep in mind that relics won’t get smith crafting bonus. Instead relics have their own bonus called “completion bonus”. To find more information on this see Graceful Dusk item database.

Talents: Can randomly add to crafted item one of the following effects:

  • +5-11% to health regeneration
  • +4-12 to defense ability (DA)
  • +4-12 to offense ability (OA)

Comments: Bella has similar crafting mechanic as Etram Fald:

  1. She has low chance to craft legendary items with blueprints (at least non-factional) except helms.

  2. There are some legendary items not belonging to her items crafting pool: MI legendaries, like this boots, and Legendary helms.

  3. To create legendary item your character level should be at least equal to minimum possible item level from certain category, i.e. level 50 (level 58 for accessories). Otherwise you will get epic item.

  4. To be able to craft high level legendary items your character should be at least 84 level. If the character is 84 level some of crafted items will be usual legendaries (i.e. up to 75 level) and others - 84 level legendary items (including mythical versions). Most likely 94 level is minimal required level allowing you to craft legendary items 94 level.

  5. Take into account that the result of crafting random legendary item is unpredictable - you can get required item or several instances of item you already have.

  6. Bella can’t craft regular items and items from learned blueprints like other smiths.

Reserved just in case of other DLCs

Looks like I finished the guide for now. Let me know if I missed something or there are unclear moments / questions.

Thanks,
Strannik

You may have missed a Super Secret Smith in Ashes of Malmouth.

Neat.

Btw: What is a Polished Emerland please, and where can i find it? :stuck_out_tongue:

You just kill things and it’ll drop. Don’t know if there’s somewhere where it drops more but it’s one of the most common components out there. You can also buy it at vendors, though it’s not always available.

You missed a C :stuck_out_tongue:

and you missed that the question was about Emerland, not Emerald

He pointed out some typos in the original posts

Ah, my bad - it was a late evening and I missed this typos. Thanks for pointing me to this. Will fix it today.

Sorry, I thought it was obvious, come to think of it, you probably just mistyped it once, and then copy+pasted it several times. No hard feelings, yeah?

Yeah that was the case. The typos in component naming (needed to craft random legendary items) were fixed.

It was intended.
Arcturus more likely to be quest NPC rather than “regular smith”. You can find him on Absolute difficulty as a part of Secret Quest. He can craft only one item required for later stage. Once you get the it you won’t find him in the next sessions. So Arcturus is not suitable for this guide.

Zantai,

Could you please clarify the following moments on Celestial Smiths mechanic, so we can make the guide more complete and useful?

Q1: Are celestial smiths able to craft legendary items from factional blueprints?
Comments: I guess they don’t have such abilty but can’t check it for sure.

Q2: Does level of crafted legendary item depend on your character level in the same way like in drop system?
Comments: If I remember correct, I was able to get legendary 75 level item from Etram for character with level between 69 and 74.

Thanks in advance,
Strannik

Wow thanks for this!

You are welcome!

Updated blacksmiths crafting bonuses in accordance to latest changes. As for forgotten smiths - will add the information on them later if I don’t forget. :stuck_out_tongue:

USER_NAME_01, thanks for pointing me to the misprint! Fixed it.
