Would like to use this mod. But whenever I install Lightweight (Fast Leveling (N)) and summon the dog, I see the healthbar whenever I hover over the spot but can’t see Sam the dog itself. What am I missing? I only have the base game. Do I need the expansions?
Yes, expansions are required!
Got it working now. The fast leveling is so nice. One thing I notice that the game dials back to normal automatically in the main menu even though I started on ultimate. Does it matter if you keep manually change back to ultimate when you play the game?
Furthermore would really like to mix this with Dawn of Masteries. That mod is amazing to but very slow with gaining experience. I like the faster leveling to try out all the different builds.
How would one play this mod (L version) and the Grim Harvest mod at the same time?
There’s a tutorial on how to combine mods:
However, the 2 mods alter the same files, so this method doesn’t work.
Can anyone help please?
That’s a bug with custom games, when you unlock the next difficulty “legitimately” it should work normally.
You can give the method of merging this mod and DoM linked in the OP a try - though it might no longer work properly! The pre-patched version is outdated too.
Grim Harvest is in DoM included, and there is a method of merging this and DoM in the OP, might give this a try!
EDIT: Lightweight Mod for Speeding Up the Leveling Process - #148 by Van_Houck
1, Is there an option to set the level cap to 100, the same as vanilla?
2, Is it a spec that sometimes MI affixes are not given at level 120 or above? Is it a bug?
- This is the normal version of this mod with level 100 and devotion 55 cap - replace the mod/database/*.arz file. Not tested. Edit your character level with GDStash or something.
- This is some issue with the affix tables, I already fixed this for my other mod Nydiamar, but have yet to port the changes over. Unfortunately, I currently don’t have any time to work on this mod, but I will update it in the future for sure!
i really liked the features from Faster Leveling (L) version (esp. the loot orbs, really satisfying) so i made a custom merge mod including some other mods like grimmest and swampdweller class. now the question is, may i get permission to upload said merge mod to the forums? credit will will be given of course.
I love the affixes for uniques, is there a way to make it for grimarillion so all the items get affixes? It only works on the vanilla/xpac items. I would be willing to give it a shot if you give me instruction, I understand you are very busy and working on mods yourself so thanks for your awesome creations.
Is there a way to just patch affixes for uniques into the base game?
Grimarillion is a big compilation mod. It’s contained items/affixes of different mods into the base game. If you want affixes for all of them, it would be a stressful task. Yes, you can, but it’s very frustrating to merge the files and even test if it works properly.
You can follow these instructions. Just patch the gdx2.arz inside ‘Grim Dawn/gdx2/database/’ instead. Ignore the linked patch there, I don’t think you need it, but not 100% sure. Consider doing a backup of your characters!
I agree with Girmarillion being too much work, way too many files to edit, not worth the effort imo.
Can this mod be easily merged with Smash N Grab? I love the double devotion shrines and mob scaling in the Smash N Grab, and would love to use both of them. Can someone advise me if that would be possible? I’m a modding noob tbh.
Unfortunately not, there are probably a few conflicts that would have to be resolved. But you could give this a try, maybe the double devotion and mob changes are kept this way. Try /basemods for Smash N Grab and load Lightweight normally, if there are issues, try the other way around. Back up your characters beforehand.
It works well when Smash N Grab used as basemod, thank you very much and thank you for your mod!
I have a question regarding a feature:
What does this mean exactly? Do they drop randomly throughout the game or drop only on 100+ levels?
Edit: Follow up question. I tried my best to modify your mod for personal use. My aim was to have 125 devotion points, as well as 5 skill points for the first 10 levels, and 4 points for levels 11-20, but I just couldn’t make it work, I’m new to all this.
Could you maybe help me with a patch if possible?
Attribute & Skill Potions
They drop randomly throughout the game, even before level 100 (if I remember correctly).
I can patch it for you, you have to tell me which version of my mod you are using (e.g. normal one or one from the _optional folder).
EDIT: In hindsight, there is only one version that makes sense.
Thank you so so much. You’re the best!
Is it possible to add the mob density mod (like in dawn of masteries) into this mod or will it break it?
